| Objective: To assess the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the suspected cardiac masses by contrast echocardiography and to evaluate the clinical diagnostic value. Methods: From May 2017 to December 2018,28 adult patients with suspected cardiac masses who admitted to Shengjing Hospital were selected as the research objects. All of them were examined by echocardiography, left ventricular cardiogram(LVO),and myocardial contrast echocardiography(MCE).The location, attachment point, basement, morphology, size, boundary, internal echo, shape change, range of motion, length, area of masses, the effect on hemodynamics, and the peak strength A1 of cardiac masses and A2 of adjacent normal myocardium were measured. Then the A1/A2 ratio was calculated and the above parameters were analyzed. Results: There were statistical differences in morphology, boundary between benign and malignant masses(P<0.05).And there was no statistical difference in the shape change and range of motion(P>0.05).The normal myocardial perfusion intensity was same, there was no enhancement inside the simple thrombus, and the peak strength enhancemen of the benign lesion A1 was lower than that of the normal myocardium, with an average value of(0.63 ± 0.42)d B,and the peak strength of the malignant lesion A1 was higher than that of the normal myocardium, with an average value of(1.49±0.09)d B.And the difference in the ratio of A1/A2 between groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: Contrast echocardiography may assess the basic biological characteristics and properties of cardiac masses. It is the first choice after the conventional transthoracic echocardiography(TTE). |
