| Objective: To investigate the effect of surgical treatment of degenerative lumbar lesions with osteoporosis. Methods: A total of 42 patients with lumbar degenerative disease were followed up in2016-2017 at Shengjing Hospital, affiliated with CMU.The patients were divided into A and B groups.Group A was treated with PMMA bone cement augmented screw passway.Group B was treated with standard pedicle screw internal fixation.Recording the operative time, bleeding and complications.Recording and comparing the VAS,ODI,SF-36 changes : preoperative 、postoperative;1、3、6、9 month after operation and the last follow-up.Recording the time of bone fusion.Result:The VAS,ODI,SF-36,vertebral space height and physiological curvature maintenance were all significantly different from those before operation(P<0.05)between A and B.There were no significant differences in VAS,ODI,SF-36,before operation in A and B groups,After the operation there were also no differences between A and B.The mean fusion time in group A was 6.00 ± 0.9 months,The group B was 5.60 ±0.55 months, there were no differences between A and B.Conclusion:For elderly patients with lumbar degeneration and osteoporosis,On the basis of decompression of vertebral canal, nerve root canal and intervertebral bone graft fusion,to increase the strength of the screw by cementing or expanding the screw,And eventually all the patients achieving bony fusion. To improve the symptoms and quality of life of patients with lumbar and leg pain. |
