Objective: In order to prevent or slow the absorption of alveolar bone after tooth extraction, and to ensure the smooth progress of post-planting surgery, the site of the extraction socket can be preserved. At present, the most widely used in the preservation of extraction sites is the combined application of deproteinized bovine bone matrix(Bio-Oss bone powder)and collagen membrane(Bio-Gide).A large number of studies show that the two materials are used in combination. The amount of alveolar ridge can be saved.Bio-Oss Collagen, based on Bio-Oss,adds 10% collagen matrix and improves plasticity. In this clinical trial,"Bio-Oss Collagen bone filler + Bio-Gide absorbable biofilm" was used as a control to evaluate the effect of "domestic bio-bone+ biofilm" applied to the extraction of tooth extraction sites. Methods: Totally 54 patients with 54 first molars which needed to be removed and had bone defects of 5 mm or more were included in the study and were randomly divided into control group(Bio-Oss Collagen bone filler + Bio-Gide absorbable biofilm)and experimental group(domestic organism bone + biofilm).Cone-Beam Computed Tomography(CBCT)was performed immediately after surgery and 6 months after surgery. The changes of alveolar bone height and width at 6 months after operation were evaluated by CBCT measurement. Results: In the CBCT sagittal plane, the height of the alveolar bone in the proximal, central, and distal buccal sides of the experimental group decreased by 1.203±1.233 mm,1.179±1.228 mm,1.303±1.186 mm,respectively. The height of the alveolar bone in the distal middle cheek was reduced by 0.963 ± 1.226 mm,0.955 ± 1.225 mm,1.199 ± 1.090 mm,and the sagittal height change values of the above three positions were not different between the two groups(P>0.05).At 6 months after operation, the lingual alveolar bone was reduced in the experimental group and the control group, and the bone resorption was less than the buccal side. There was no significant difference between the two groups in the sagittal plane at different positions(P >0.05).In the mid-central,central,and distal sagittal planes, alveolar bone width at 1mm,4 mm,and 7 mm roots of the alveolar crest, reduction of alveolar bone width in the alveolar crest to the root in test group and the control group has a decreasing trend. In the same sagittal plane and alveolar root position, the control group absorbed less, but the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(P >0.05).Conclusion: The presence of bone defects in the first molars using domestic bio-bone+ biofilm for tooth extraction site preservation, can maintain a certain amount of alveolar bone. There is no difference compared to imported materials.
