Objective: To understand the distribution pattern of TCM syndrome types among different subtypes of functional dyspepsia, and to provide data support for clinical syndrome differentiation and treatment. Methods: Clinical data were collected from 429 inpatients who met the exclusion criteria by questionnaire.EpiData3.1 establishes a database and SPSS26.0 data analysis. Results: There were 204 cases of postprandial discomfort syndrome in 1.429 cases of functional dyspepsia patients, accounting for 47.6%;225 cases of epigastric pain syndrome, accounting for 52.4%.2.There were 84 males and 120 females with postprandial discomfort syndrome. The male to female ratio was 0.8: 1,and the average age was 54.1 ± 13.4 years.3.There were 77 males and 148 females with upper abdominal pain syndrome. The male to female ratio was 0.52: 1,and the average age was 51.5 ± 12.6 years.4.Postprandial discomfort syndrome is mainly liver and stomach discord syndrome, but there is no statistical difference with spleen and stomach deficiency syndrome and spleen stomach dampness and heat syndrome.5.The epigastric pain syndrome is dominated by liver and stomach discord syndrome and there are statistical differences between the other four syndrome types.6.The two subtypes of TCM syndromes are mainly empirical.7.Insomnia is the main cause of the two subtypes.Emotional factors have a more significant effect on upper abdominal pain syndrome.8.There were no significant differences between the two subtypes in terms of gender, course of disease,Helicobacter pylori infection, and bile reflux. Conclusions: 1.Liver-stomach discord syndrome is the main syndrome type of functional dyspepsia, and the distribution of syndrome types varies among different subtypes.2.Eating disorder and emotional disorders are the possible causes of functional dyspepsia.3.45-59 years is the prevalence of this disease, more women than men.
