Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of oral Changle'an(self-prescription)combined with mesalazine sustained-release granules in the treatment of patients with mild to moderate UC(spleen deficiency and wet resistance type)in chronic recurrent active phase, and comprehensive evaluation of its effectiveness and safety. Methods: A total of 86 patients with mild to moderate UC(spleen deficiency and wet resistance type)with chronic recurrent active phase in the outpatient and inpatient departments of the Department of Spleen and Gastroenterology from January 2019 to December 2019 in Shanxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected.Control group and treatment group based on the principle of random grouping, they were divided into the control group and the treatment group. The control group was given mesalazine sustained-release granules orally. The treatment group was combined with Changle'an(Fried Cangzhu 30 g,Fried Baizhu 30 g,Poria 30 g,Fried Coix Seed 30 g,White Lentil 10 g,White Cardamom 10 g,Pelan 10 g,Liu Jinu 6g,Purslane 15 g,Muxiang 6g,Glycyrrhiza 6g)orally for 4 weeks as a course of treatment. After one course of treatment, the clinical symptoms and colonoscopy results of the two groups of patients were observed before and after the treatment, and the statistical analysis was compared to evaluate the combination of Changle'an(self-prepared)and mesalazine sustained-release granules for the treatment of chronic recurrent active phase the clinical symptoms improvement, safety and recurrence of moderate UC(spleen deficiency and wet resistance type).Result:1.Patients in the treatment group had significant differences in total symptom scores, various symptom scores, and Mayo scores before and after treatment(P<0.05).Patients in the control group had significant differences in their total symptom scores,Mayo scores, and various symptom scores(diarrhea, mucus in the stool, pus and blood in the stool, abdominal pain,post-emergency,diet,limb drowsiness, laziness and fatigue). There were significant differences before and after treatment(P<0.05),no significant difference in chest pain and bloating(P>0.05).2.After treatment, the total score of symptoms and total clinical effective rate of the two groups of patients(90.24% in the treatment group and 72.50% in the control group)were significantly different(P<0.05).There was a significant difference in the disease efficacy between the two groups(P<0.05).3.There was no significant difference in the main symptom scores between the treatment group and the end of treatment after 8 weeks of discontinuation(P>0.05),butthere was a significant difference in the major symptom scores at the end of treatment after12 weeks of discontinuation(P<0.05).The main symptom scores in the control group after8 weeks of withdrawal and 12 weeks after withdrawal were statistically significant compared with the end of treatment(P<0.05).4.During the treatment period,no obvious side effects and adverse reactions of liver and kidney injury occurred in the two groups of patients. After the end of the treatment, blood, urine, stool routine, liver and kidney function, and electrocardiogram were not significantly abnormal. The treatment plan was safe and reliable..Conclusion: Changle'an(self-prepared formula)combined with mesalazine sustained-release granules has a significant effect on the treatment of mild to moderate UC(spleen deficiency and wet resistance type)in chronic relapsing active phase. It can relieve TCM symptoms, improve Mayo score, and reduce relapse rate.It has obvious advantages in terms of prolonging the relapse period, and is superior to the mesalazine control group alone;and Changle'an(self-prepared)combined with mesalazine sustained-release granules is safe in the treatment of patients with mild to moderate UC(spleen deficiency and wet resistance type)in the period of chronic recurrent activity.
