Objective: To evaluate and observe the efficacy and safety of modified Shengxian Decoction in the treatment of cardiac neursosis differentiated as type of deficiency and stasis of qi and blood syndrome by randomized controlled trials. Methods: A total of 72 patients with cardiac neursosis from January 2019 through January 2020 in Outpatient Department of Internal Medicine in accordance of the diagnosis criteria of traditional Chinese and western medicine, inclusion and exclusion criteria were recruited in the study, and were divided into two groups by parallel randomized controlled method. The experimental group(n=36)was given oral administration of modified Shengxian Decoction for one dose and two times daily, while the control group(n=36)orally took oryzanol at a single dose of 20 mg for 3 times per day.The treatment course of both groups lasted for four weeks. The item score of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)symptoms, total scores of TCM symptoms and effective rate,Somatic Self-rating Scale(SSS)scores of cardiac neurosis,Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)scores after treatment were observed, and data collected in the study was analyzed. All analyses in the study were performed with the use of SPSS 21.0 software. And the efficacy was evaluated. Results: Every group lost three cases during treatment, with 66 cases left in total completing the study.1.No significant differences were found in age, gender, item score of TCM symptom, total scores of TCM symptom,SSS scores and HAMA scores before treatment(P>0.05),with comparable baseline data in two groups.2.After treatment: item score of TCM symptom, total scores of TCM symptom,SSS scores and HAMA scores showed significant between-group differences(P<0.05).3.Total scores of TCM symptom after treatment: the total effective rate in experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and a significant between-group difference was seen(90.91% vs.66.67%,P<0.05).4.SSS scores after treatment: experimental group had significantly higher total effective rate than the control group(84.85% vs.57.57%,P<0.05).5.HAMA scores after treatment: experimental group had significantly higher total effective rate than the control group(87.88% vs.60.61%,P<0.05).Conclusions:1.Scores of TCM symptom: total scores of TCM symptom and item score of TCM symptom were decreased after treatment of modified Shengxian Decoction, demonstrating that modified Shengxian Decoction can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of cardiac neursosis patients differentiated as type of deficiency and stasis of qi and blood syndrome.2.The experimental group had significantly higher total effective rate than the control group, which reveals that it is superior to oryzanol in efficacy, and that the study results blaze a new trail for clinical treatment of cardiac neurosis by TCM.Modified Shengxian Decoction had higher total effective rate than oryzanol in terms of in improving SSS scores(84.85% vs.57.57%,P<0.05).3.In terms of improving HAMA scores, the total effective rate of modified Shengxian Decoction was better than that of oryzanol(87.88% vs.60.61%,P<0.05).It is significant and safe in clinical curative efficacy to treat cardiac neurosis differentiated as type of deficiency and stasis of qi and blood syndrome by oral administration of modified Shengxian Decoction, and it is of great value in popularizing.
