With the aging of migrant population and the family-oriented trend, the number of elderly migrants is increasing. They are more likely to face health issues due to their"age" and "mobility",which are related to harmony in the family and society and then have gradually attracted the attention of academic community. However, there are few existing research of classification and comparison on this topic to comprehensively grasp the differences in characteristics and health among types of elderly migrants. In view of this, referring to 2017 Dynamic Monitoring Data of Migrant Population(Volume A),from the perspective of different reasons for migration, elderly migrants are divided into four types in this paper:labor-based elderly migrants,family-based elderly migrants,off-site cared elderly migrants and others.First of all,I analyzed and found that the four types of elderly migrants show some generalities and personalities in demographic sociological characteristics and the labor-based elderly migrants are in better health status than other types of them.In cross-analysis,I also found that there are some differences among them. This paper used binary logistc model to analyze the differences of health status among the four types of elderly migrants in the impact of individual, social support and migration for further knowledge. It was finally found that gender only affects labor-based elderly migrants in which the female’s health is worse than the male’s.The health of most elderly migrants deteriorates with age;Education has a significant impact on self-rated health of labor-based and family-based elderly migrants; As the average monthly household income increases, the health of labor-based and family-based elderly migrants have gradually improved; The establishment of health files can help elderly migrants to truly grasp their own health status;Participation in some social activities can provide emotional support for the elderly migrants; For labor-based elderly migrants, the longer they live off-site,the worse their health are;For family-based elderly migrants and off-site cared elderly migrants, the self-assessment health of interprovincial migrants is higher. In response to above phenomenon, this paper makes some recommendations:Firstly, increase publicity and implement residents’ health files.Secondly, strengthen health education for elderly migrants to improve their health awareness;Thirdly, organize community activities to meet the emotional needs of elderly migrants;Fourthly, make a service plan and strengthen prevention of chronic diseases;Fifthly, the family should play a supporting role and give economic and emotional support to the elderly migrants.
