Objective To observe the anesthetic effect of modified local infiltration anesthesia in mandibular molar region.Methods 1.The vertical distances from the external oblique ridge of the distal mandibular first molars and the second molars to the mandibular nerve canal were measured by 149 routine CBCT examination images in the Department of Stomatology of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University from January to October 2018.The average value and the standard deviation were calculated.2.The average value and the standard deviation were used as anatomical basis.In the Department of Stomatology of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University from February to March 2019,for the 30 patients who required invasive operations in the mandibular molar region,the modified local infiltration anesthesia was performed on the buccal side combined with routine infiltration anesthesia injection on the lingual side,then the complete analgesia rate of modified infiltration and the onset time of ipsilateral lower lip numbness were observed.Results The effective rate of modified infiltration anesthesia method was 100%(patients felt ipsilateral lower lip numbness after injection),the effective rate of complete analgesia was 83.3%,and the onset time of anesthesia was 4.24±1.99 min.Conclusion For the invasive operation of mandibular molar region,using the modified local infiltration anesthesia method on the buccal side combined with routine infiltration anesthesia on the lingual side at the distal of operated area is feasible and can fully meet the clinical needs.
