Objective: To compare the advantages and disadvantages of simple interrupted suture and vertical mattress suture in orthopedic scalp suture, evaluate the effect of two suture methods, and provide a reference for choosing the best suture method during surgery to obtain better surgical results. Methods: Twenty patients were selected for scalp mass resection, including 14 males and 6 females, aged between 10-55 years, including 6 cases of scalp sebaceous nevus,7 cases of scalp sebaceous gland cysts and 3 cases of scalp lipoma In 4 cases of benign scalp masses, one side of the incision was randomly selected for simple intermittent suture, and the other side of the scalp was subjected to vertical mattress suture.Postoperative pressure bandaging was performed on all patients.Remove all sutures and evaluate the effects of the two suture methods, comparing the suture speed of the two methods;hemostatic effect;effect on hair growth length;degree of pain during suture removal;hair at the same site 3 weeks after surgery Density difference;scar width at 3 months after operation;width of hair loss area at 3 months after operation. Results: The speed of simple intermittent suture was 0.73 ± 0.04 mm / s,and the vertical mattress speed was 0.33 ± 0.02 mm / s,(p <0.01),which was statistically different. When the dressing was changed on the first day after surgery, the simple intermittent suture was The number of layers of permeable gauze is 18.0 ± 1.2,and the number of layers of permeable gauze for vertical mattress suture is 14.7 ± 1.9(p <0.05),which is statistically different;the average of 10 hairs within 1cm2 around the incisionwas randomly selected on the day of stitch removal.Length: Simple discontinuous suture: 5.07 ± 0.40 mm,vertical mattress suture degree is 4.75 ± 0.42 mm,(p <0.05),there is a statistical difference;VAS score is 1.93 ± 0.42 when single discontinuous suture is removed, vertical mattress The VAS score during suture and suture was: 2.35 ±0.28,(p <0.05),which was statistically different. The difference in hair density within1cm2 of the same part of the incision at 3 weeks before and after surgery: 13.3 ± 2.9roots with simple intermittent suture, vertical Mattress suture was 15.7 ± 2.6,(p <0.05),which was statistically different. The average width of the scar at 3 months after surgery:simple intermittent suture was 5.18 ± 0.56 mm,and vertical mattress suture was 5.14 ±0.54 mm,(p> 0.05),no statistical difference;the average width of hair loss area at 3months after operation: Simple intermittent suture was 8.05 ± 0.47 mm,and vertical mattress suture was 11.61 ± 1.13 mm,(p <0.05),which was statistically different. Conclusion: The simple intermittent suture has a fast scalp suture speed, has little effect on the growth of hair, and the patient's pain level is low when the suture is removed. The vertical mattress suture scalp has better hemostatic effect. There is no difference in the width of the scars produced by the two sutures suture the scalp. It is recommended that when there is a lot of bleeding during the operation, after the tumor is removed, the two sides of the incision are obviously uneven, and it can be intermittently supplemented with vertical mattress suture.
