Clinical Study Of Huanglian Wendan Decoction In The Treatment Of Pre-diabetes (Impaired Glucose Tolerance IGT) Damp-heat Accumulation Spleen Syndrome

Objective: This study is based on the theory of "Xie Fu San ointment" in the treatment of spleen-heat syndrome of pre-diabetes(IGT),verifying the clinical effectiveness and safety of the method of clearing away heat and gall bladder,strengthening the spleen and removing dampness,and guiding the evil out of the way.Clinical reference ideas.Methods: In this study,72 IGT patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into the experimental group with 36 IGT patients,and Huanglian Wendan Decoction plus basic treatment(strict diet and exercise therapy);36 cases of the control group,Given acarbose + basic treatment(strict dietary exercise therapy).Observe the TCM symptom score,fasting blood glucose(FPG)and blood glucose(2hPG),glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c),fasting insulin(FINS),blood lipids(TG,HDL-C,LDL-C),and insulin resistance before and after treatment.The changes of the index(HOMA-IR),waist-to-hip ratio(WHR),and body mass index(BMI)were 4 weeks as a course of treatment,and three consecutive courses were observed.Results: 1.Analysis of TCM symptoms: After treatment,all TCM symptoms of the experimental group were improved(P ? 0.05),and the control group had no difference before and after treatment of abdominal fullness,drowsiness,heart and chest distress,lack of appetite,and unpleasant stool(p ? 0.05),the effect of urinary yellow red after treatment(P ? 0.05);there was a difference between the two groups of patients with abdominal distension,heart and chest distress,lack of appetite,and uncomfortable stool(P? 0.05).2.Analysis of blood glucose-related indicators: The experimental group and the treatment group were effective in reducing FPG,2hPG,and HbA1c(p ? 0.05),The two groups are equally effective in reducing blood glucose(P ? 0.05).3.Analysis of blood lipid related indicators: After treatment,TG and LDL-C in the experimental group all improved(p ? 0.05),HDL-C did not improve(P ? 0.05),and TG and HDL-C in the control group did not appear Significantly improved(P ? 0.05),LDL-C has a curative effect(p ? 0.05);the experimental group is better than the control group in terms of TG and LDL-C.4.Other related indicators: After treatment,the experimental group has improved in FINS,HOMA-IR,WHR,and BMI(p ? 0.05);the control group has significant effects in improving HOMA-IR,WHR,and BMI(p ? 0.05).No significant effect was seen in improving FINS(p ? 0.05);The experimental group was significantly better in FINS?HOMA-IR BMI than the control group(p ? 0.05),andIncomparable in the reduction of WHR experimental group and control group(p ? 0.05).Conclusion:Huanglian Wendan Decoction can effectively reduce blood sugar,waist-to-hip ratio,body mass index,regulate blood lipids,improve insulin resistance,TCM symptoms in patients with IGT damp heat spleen syndrome,which is safe and effective.The clinical effectiveness and safety of the method of guiding evil to go out is worthy of further study.
