Clinical Observation Of Jiawei ChaiHuShuGan Decoction Combined With Carbamazepine In The Treatment Of Temporal Lobe Epilepsy With Qi Stagnation And Phlegm Coagulation

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of jiaweichaihushugan decoction combined with carbamazepine in the treatment of temporal lobe epilepsy with qi stagnation and phlegm coagulation,so as to provide new ideas for clinical treatment of the disease.Methods: 65 patients with temporal lobe epilepsy of qi stagnation and phlegm coagulation type were all from the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of traditional Chinese medicine.The collection time was from January 1,2018 to October 30,2019.According to the method of random distribution,the patients were divided into treatment group(32 cases)and control group(33 cases),the treatment method was:the control group was treated with carbamazepine,and the treatment group was treated with modified Chaihu Shugan decoction on the basis of carbamazepine.The course of treatment was 8 weeks.Before treatment,4 weeks and 8 weeks after treatment,the seizure frequency,the improvement of epilepsy severity,the change of duration,the change of EEG,the improvement of quality of life,TCM syndromes,serum levels of IL-1βand IL-6 and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.All the data are input by Excel and analyzed and processed by spss25.0 software.Results:(1)comparison of seizure frequency between the two groups: after treatment,the number of seizures in the two groups was lower than before.However,the decrease degree of the treatment group was more significant(P<0.01).the total effect of the treatment group(93.3%)was significantly improved compared with the control group(83.9%).(2)comparison of seizure duration between the two groups: the duration of seizures in the two groups after treatment Compared with the control group,the treatment group decreased significantly(P<0.01).(3)The improvement of EEG in the two groups was compared: the abnormal EEG in the two groups was improved after treatment,but the advantage of improving EEG in the treatment group was more obvious than that in the control group(P<0.05).(4)Comparison and analysis of quality of life of patients before and after treatment: the quality of life score of the two groups of patients increased significantly after treatment,and the treatment group increased significantly more than the control group(P<0.01).(5)Comparison of TCM syndromes between the two groups: The TCM syndromes of the two groups of patients improved after treatment compared with those before treatment,but in the treatment group,the score of TCM syndrome decreased more significantly(P<0.05).The clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment group(90%)was significantly improved compared with that in the control group(80.6%).(6)Comparison of serum IL-1β and IL-6 contents in the two groups: After treatment,the serum IL-1β and IL-6 contents of the two groups were significantly lower than before treatment.The treatment group had an advantage in reducing inflammatory factors than the control group(P<0.05).(7)analysis of adverse reactions in the two groups: Before and after treatment,ECG,urine routine and related blood sampling indexes were measured,and the results were almost normal.during the study,a few patients had gastrointestinal discomfort,dizziness,drowsiness and other adverse reactions,which were corrected after observation or symptomatic treatment Good has no obvious influence on the research results.Conclusion:Jiawei Chaihu Shugan Decoction combined with carbamazepine in the treatment of qi stagnation and phlegm coagulation type temporal lobe epilepsy can significantly improve the frequency of seizures,reduce the duration of seizures,improve the quality of life of epileptic patients,alleviate their clinical symptoms and syndromes,and reduce serum IL-1β,IL-6content,no obvious toxic and side effects,safe and effective,it is worthy of further in-depth clinical research and application promotion.
