Objective:This study examined the clinical significance of serum CA125 and sCD30 in the diagnosis, efficacy evaluation and disease monitoring of lymphoma by detecting the levels of serum CA125 and sCD30 in patients with specific types of lymphoma before and after treatment and in healthy controls. Methods:The peripheral blood and related clinical data of 74 newly diagnosed lymphoma patients admitted to the Department of Hematology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from December 2017 to August 2019 were collected as the experimental group;the peripheral blood of 46 healthy subjects was collected as Control group. The levels of serum CA125 and sCD30 in patients with complete remission/partial remission, stable disease and disease relapse/progress before and during treatment were tracked and monitored(All Hodgkin lymphoma and Non-Hodgkin lymphoma patients are recommended to choose chemotherapy according to the NCCN guidelines of the same year).Take 3 ml of peripheral blood from the experimental group and control group respectively, then separate the serum, and then detect the expression levels of CA125 and sCD30 in the serum by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).SPSS 20.0 software was used to analyze the data.P<0.05 indicated that the difference was statistically significant. Results:The levels of serum CA125 and sCD30 in 74 newly diagnosed lymphoma patients were significantly higher than those in 46 healthy controls(P<0.05).The expressions of CA125 and sCD30 in patients with lymphoma before and after treatment were compared in 58 patients with lymphoma who were effective after treatment with standard chemotherapy(CR/PR).The results showed that the levels of CA125 and sCD30 in patients with effective treatment(CR/PR)were significantly lower than those of newly diagnosed lymphoma patients(P<0.001,P<0.001).It is suggested that monitoring the levels of CA125 and sCD30 can be used to judge the treatment effect of lymphoma. The 15 patients with lymphoma had no significant changes in serum CA125 expression levels before and after disease replased/progressed,and the difference was not statistically significant(P=0.101).The expression of sCD30 was significantly higher than that of the pre-treatment group(P=0.001).The difference was statistically significant. It is suggested that sCD30 expression level may monitor the replase/progress of the disease.Serum CA125 expression levels was significantly increased in patients with invasive lymphoma,B symptoms, pleural invasion, high IPI score, and extranodal involvement of≥2(P=0.012,P=0.046,P=0.002,P=0.034,P=0.004),the difference was statistically significant. The serum CA125 expression level was not significantly different from the presence or absence of large mass, gender, age, bone marrow infiltration, and clinical stage(P>0.05).And our research shows that the expression level of sCD30 with age, gender, large masses, number of extranodal involvement,B symptoms, invasiveness, bone marrow infiltration, clinical stage,B symptoms,IPI score, and pleural invasion were no significant correlations(P>0.05)It may be related to fewer included cases, experimental defects and pathological types of lymphoma.Conclusion(s):1.The levels of sCD30 and CA125 in patients with specific pathological types of lymphoma before treatment are significantly higher than those in healthy controls, suggesting that the combined detection has certain significance for the diagnosis of specific types of lymphoma.2.The levels of serum sCD30 and CA125 in patients with effective treatment(CR/PR)decreased significantly, and the level of serum CA125 was lower than the lowest level in healthy controls. It is suggested that joint monitoring of sCD30 and CA125 can be used to evaluate the treatment effect of specific types of lymphoma patients.3.Serum CA125 expression levels was higher in patients with B symptoms, pleural invasion, invasive lymphoma, high IPI score, and extranodal involvement≥ 2.4.The detection of serum CA125 and sCD30 is non-invasive,simple,economical and reproducible. It is expected to be an effective method to assist the diagnosis of lymphoma, evaluate the treatment effect and monitor disease. But further research is needed.
