Objective:To study the safety and efficacy of radio-frequency ablation guided by VisiTag in patients with atrial fibrillation at mid-and long-term follow-up.Methods:A single-center prospective study was conducted in patients with atrial fibrillation who were scheduled to undergo radio-frequency ablation in the First Affiliated Hospital of Suzhou University from October 2016 to June 2018.All patients underwent pulmonary vein isolation and atrial linear ablation under the guidance of VisiTag in a three-dimensional mapping system of Carto 3.Quantitative ablation was performed point by point.Long-term follow-up was carried out by echocardiography, routine electrocardiogram, dynamic electrocardiogram and telephone to evaluate whether the patients had atrial tachyarrhythmia recurrence and complications.SPSS software Kaplan-Meier survival curve was used to analyze the mid-and long-term success rate of ablation in patients with atrial fibrillation.Results:129 patients with atrial fibrillation which included 83 paroxysmal atrial patients and 43 persistent atrial patients, were underwent radio-frequency ablation guided by VisiTag.In these patients, there were 66 males(51.2%)and 63 females(48.8%)with an average age of 62.20±9.08 years.Their average duration of disease, the average left atrium diameter and the average score of CHA2DSA-VASc was 24.6±33.65 months、43.03±5.90 mm and 1.9±1.17 respectively. The total anticoagulant rate was 98.5%in our study. The average follow-up time was 16.8±6.10 months and 2 cases were lost during follow-up.The overall success rate of mid-and long-term follow-up of atrial fibrillation ablation guided by VisiTag was 85%,and the 1-year ablation success rate for patients with paroxysmal and persistent atrial fibrillation was 86.7%and 81.8%respectively.The main complications during perioperative period were vascular puncture complications(7.84%).There were 0.80%of pericardia tamponade and 2.33%of a small amount of pericardium effusion. There were no serious complications such as cerebral embolism, pulmonary vein stenosis and atrioesophageal fistula.Conclusion:Radio-frequency ablation using the VISITAG module in atrial fibrillation patients was a safe procedure, associated with an improvement in efficiency and freedom from atrial tachyarrhythmia recurrence at mid-and long time follow-up.
