Objectives:As the lung transplantation technology becomes more sophisticated and an increasing number of patients receive lung transplantation surgery, the problem of inadequate donor lungs is worsening. In China, the utilization ratio of donor lungs is lower than that of transplanted livers and kidneys, and the reason may be the poor maintenance and usage of marginal donor lungs. In this paper, the effect of bronchoalveolar lavage on the maintenance of marginal donor lungs for patients with brain death was investigated, which provided a scientific theoretical basis for the maintenance of marginal donor lungs in clinical practice. Methods:Patients with brain death admitted to Calmette Hospital of Kunming Medical University from September 2017 to December 2019 who met the inclusion criteria were enrolled and randomly divided into the bronchoalveolar lavage(experimental)group and the control group in this study. Both groups received routine maintenance.Chest X-ray,arterial blood gas(oxygenation index),fiberbronchoscope and other means were taken as evaluation indicators, the relevant data were statistically analyzed, and the results were obtained.Results:1 General situationThere was no statistically significant difference in age, gender, height, weight, chest circumference and disease-related data between the two groups(P>0.05).2 Comparison of data before experiment between the two groupsNo statistically significant difference in oxygenation index, chest X-ray and fiberbronchoscopic data between the two groups was observed(P>0.05).3 Comparison of data after two groups of experiments. Both groups had lower scores of oxygenation index, chest X-ray and fiberbronchoscope after the experiment than before the experiment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The differences of the clinical efficiency between the experimental group and the control group were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Bronchoalveolar lavage technique is effective in maintaining donor lungs and has a wide application.
