Objectives:Collect and screen the randomized clinical controlled trials of acupuncture treatment of peripheral facial paralysis in the acute period,to evaluate the quality of the retrieval results and analyze the combined results, and to explore the clinical efficacy of acupuncture treatment of peripheral facial paralysis in the early stage of the disease and the impact on various scoring indicators. To provide evidence-based medical evidence for clinical use of acupuncture in the treatment of acute phase of peripheral facial paralysis. Methods:Set the search terms in Chinese and English database for literature retrieval, and the publication time of the study was from when the database was established to December 31,2019.According to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria to get the final literatureBias risk assessment was carried out for the included literature according to the bias risk assessment tool provided by Cochrane collaborative networkRevman 5.3 software was used to carry out data statistics, and different ways of combining effect quantities were selected for different types of outcome indicators.Using the I2 and Q statistics for statistical heterogeneity, selecting different models for analysis according to heterogeneity generated by the merging of literature effect quantities. If the included studies had high heterogeneity, the effect sizes could not be merged simply, and the reasons for the heterogeneity should be analyzedResults:78 articles were included in the study, all of which were in Chinese and published between 2000 and 2019.A total of 7670 patients were enrolled, including 3861 in the observation group and 3809 in the control group Including acute phase acupuncture vs acute phase drugs;acute phase acupuncture and drugs vs acute phase drugs;acute phase acupuncture and drugs vs acupuncture after acute phase drugs. There are three kinds of randomized clinical controlled trials. The 78 literatures included in the study had incomplete information report and unclear description in terms of random grouping, assignment concealment, blind method of implementation, blind method of evaluation, and data integrity of outcome. The quality of literature methodology is not high and there is a risk of bias.1 Effective rate? acute phase acupuncture vs acute phase drug:RR=1.41,95%CI[1.28,1.56];?acute phase acupuncture and drugs vs acute phase drug:RR=1.20,95%CI[1.16,1.23];?acute phase acupuncture and drugs vs acupuncture after acute phase drugs:RR=1.08,95%CI[1.05,1.10].2 Cure rate? acute phase acupuncture vs acute phase drugs:RR=1.41,95%CI[1.28,1.56];?acute phase acupuncture and drugs vs acute phase drug:RR=1.51,95%CI[1.41,1.62];?acute phase acupuncture and drugs vs acupuncture after acute phase drugs:RR=1.34,95%CI[1.25,1.43].3 Cure time? acute phase acupuncture vs acute phase drugs:MD=-5.73,95%CI[-6.73,-4.74];?acute phase acupuncture and drugs vs acute phase drug:MD=-5.10,95%CI[-6.89,-3.31];?acute phase acupuncture and drugs vs acupuncture after acute phase drugs:MD=-6.58,95%CI[-8.79,-4.37].4 Facial Disability Index Physical(FDIP)? acute phase acupuncture vs acute phase drugs:MD=3.53,95%CI[2.34,4.71];?acute phase acupuncture and drugs vs acute phase drug:MD=3.56,95%CI[2.77,4.35];?acute phase acupuncture and drugs vs acupuncture after acute phase drugs:MD=2.22,95%CI[-0.74,5.17].5 Facial Disability Index Social(FDIS)? acute phase acupuncture vs acute phase drugs:MD=-2.96,95%CI[-5.10,-0.81];?acute phase acupuncture and drugs vs acute phase drug:MD=-1.32,95%CI[-2.42,-0.21];?acute phase acupuncture and drugs vs acupuncture after acute phase drugs:MD=-0.27,95%CI[-0.78,0.24].Grade evidence quality evaluation:There are 15 items of evidence quality evaluation, among which 3 items are moderate,6 items are low,6 items are very low,and the overall quality is not high. Conclusion:The results of meta analysis suggest that acupuncture can significantly improve the effective rate and cure rate, shorten the cure time, improve the score of facial function, and improve the quality of life of patients.
