Objective: Sleep is an important part of human health.Sleep-related problems not only affect an individual's physical and mental health but also have a significant impact on the social economy, posing a serious public health problem. In this study,a cross-sectional survey was conducted on the adults of five administrative regions of Fuxin city,Liaoning province,to understand the sleep status in adults and to explore the influencing factors of lifestyle and chronic disease history on the sleep status in adults,so as to provide reasonable suggestions for improving the sleep quality in adults. Methods: Stratified cluster sampling was used to investigate the 5403 adults of five administrative districts in Fuxin city,Liaoning province. The survey mainly included general demographic characteristics, lifestyle, chronic disease history, and sleep status.Sleep status was assessed by the PSQI,including seven dimensions of subjective sleep quality, bedtime, sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep disorders, hypnotic drugs, diurnal dysfunction;lifestyle included outdoor activity time, history of smoking, history of drinking, and diet;chronic disease history included cardiovascular diseases, metabolic diseases, respiratory diseases, and oral diseases. The questionnaire was supervised and collected by specialized personnel.Data were entered into Epi Data version 3.1 and exported to SPSS version 21.0 for analysis. The logistic regression model and linear regression model were used to multivariate analysis to explore the relationship between lifestyle, chronic disease history, and adult sleep. Results: The detection rate of poor sleep quality was 8.5 percent in the survey.Univariate analysis of the factors affecting sleep quality in adults showed that outdoor activity time, diet, cardiovascular diseases, metabolic diseases, respiratory diseases and oral diseases were the possible factors(P<0.05).Adults sleep quality factors influencing multivariate analysis,in the adjustment of confounding factors under the influence of factors after multivariate logistic regression analysis, different lifestyle results showed that weekly outdoor activity reduced the risk of sleep disorders(OR=0.98,95%CI:0.96-0.99);Results of different chronic disease history showed that cardiovascular diseases of hypertension increased the risk of sleep disorders by 62%(OR=1.62,95%CI:1.00-2.62),and coronary heart disease was significantly correlated with the risk of sleep disorders, with an OR value of 2.82(OR=2.82,95%CI:1.11-7.14),pharyngitis increased risk of sleep disorders by 69%(OR=1.69,95%CI:1.16-2.47)in respiratory diseases,gingivitis(OR=2.41,95%CI:1.50-3.87)and periodontitis(OR=2.50,95%CI:1.54-4.05)in oral diseases were significantly associated with the risk of sleep disorders, with the OR value both greater than 2.Analysis of influencing factors in all dimensions of PSQI: In subjective sleep quality dimension, the difference was statistically significant factors included outdoor activity time, smoking, alcohol consumption, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, pharyngitis, allergic rhinitis, gingivitis and periodontitis; In bedtime dimension, the difference was statistically significant factors included smoking, hyperlipidemia, pharyngitis, allergic rhinitis, and gingivitis; In sleep time dimension, the difference was statistically significant factors included outdoor activity time and coronary heart disease. In sleep efficiency dimension, outdoor activity time was the protective factor; In sleep disorders dimension, the difference was statistically significant factors included smoking, alcohol consumption, hypertension, coronary heart disease, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, pharyngitis, allergic rhinitis, gingivitis and periodontitis; In hypnotic drugs dimension, the difference was statistically significant factors included smoking, diet, hypertension, coronary heart disease, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, gingivitis and periodontitis. In diurnal dysfunction dimension, the difference was statistically significant factors included outdoor activity time, diet, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, pharyngitis, allergic rhinitis, gingivitis, and periodontitis. Conclusion: There existed sleep problems in adults of Fuxin city,Liaoning province.Lifestyle factors and multiple chronic disease history affected adult's sleep quality,Influencing factors could be affected the sleep quality and its various dimensions, thus affected the overall sleep quality. It is of great significance to clarify the influencing factors of sleep quality to improve adult's sleep quality and life quality.
