Objective:To investigate the relationship between the maximum gasification range and the actual size of the ablationlesionsafter microwave ablation, and determine the best time to evaluate the ablation range with the gasification range. Methods:The patients‘(8 males and 9 females)data and imaging who underwent ultrasound-guided percutaneous Microwave Ablation because of the liver cancer with the time range from October 2018 to December 2019 in Shengjing Hospital were analyzed, the diameter range of the lesions 1.2-5.3cm,and the average diameter were 2.14 ± 1.13 cm.The cases of liver tumor after microwave ablation were measured and the maximum gasification range within 1 minute,2 minutes,4 minutes,6 minutes,8 minutes and 10 minutes were recorded.Contrast-enhanced ultrasonography was performed on the microwave ablated lesions 3 days after the operation to record the actual ablation range. The correlation between postoperative lesion gasification range and actual ablation range was analyzed. Results:The gasification range of all ablation sites was larger than that of the actual ablation lesions, and there was no significant difference between the gasification range and the actual ablation lesions from 4 minutes to 10 minutes after the operation(P> 0.01)and the range of gasification gradually approached to the actual size of the ablation. Conclusion:When microwave ablation of liver tissue, the range of gasification after ablation is related to the size of the actual ablation lesions. The range of gasification at 4 minutes can be used clinically to initially assess the actual range of ablation lesions.
