BackgroundMalignant tumor is one of the major diseases that affecting human life span.On the one hand, patients are suffering from a series of physiological changes which are caused by different types of tumors. On the other hand, due to the lack of cognition and fear of tumor, most people have various degrees of psychological stress, sleep issue and emotional disorders, especially anxiety and depression.Nowadays, the pathogenesis of tumor-related anxiety and depression is still unclear.,and there are few reports discussed the influence factors about anxiety and depression. The high incidence and low recognition rate of malignant tumor mental disorders become a severe problem in clinical.Psychological factors and emotional status of patients with tumor have a significant impact on immunity and even the outcome of disease. Therefore, exploring the incidence and correlation of tumor-related anxiety and depression, sleep condition and its influence on body immunity has a certain clinical and scientific research value.ObjectiveBy investigating the current situation of anxiety, depression and sleep quality of newly diagnosed patients with malignant tumors,we can both comprehend the occurrence of anxiety and depression and other related psychological disorders in patients with tumor,as well as the impact on the immune condition of the body.Toexplore and analyze the factors that may affect the anxiety, depression and sleep quality of patients,so as to further develop a reasonable and effective treatment program, carry out certain psychological intervention on patients, reduce their negative mental disorders improve their quality of life, and promote the recovery of patients to provide data support and basis.MethodsFrom December 2017 to February 2019,106 patients were admitted to the department of oncology, the first affiliated hospital of guangzhou medical university. The Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)were used to preliminarily assess the Anxiety and Depression of the enrolled patients, and the Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)was used to evaluate the sleep quality of the patients. In addition, general data and immunological indicators of the patients were collected, including basic information and tumor-related information.SPSS 21.0 software was used to establish the database and conduct statistical analysis.Pearson correlation coefficient analysis was used to explore the correlation of HAMA,HAMD and PSQI.Chi-square test was used to compare the incidence of anxiety and depression and sleep quality among different groups of relevant influencing factors, and P < 0.05 was considered as statistically significant depression.Results1.Among the 106 patients in this survey, about 29(27%)person were found to have symptoms of depression,63(59%)had anxiety, and 26(25%)had anxiety combined with depression.Poor sleep quality was also found in 94 cases(89percent).Pearson correlation coefficient analysis was conducted on the correlation of anxiety, depression and sleep quality, and it was concluded that HAMA and HAMD were positively correlated and closely related.HAMA is positively correlated with PSQI,but the relationship is not close. While HAMD was found to have a very close positively relationship with PSQI.2.On the influence factors of anxiety depression incidence analysis,we have found that the incidence of anxiety was statistically significant among different occupationalpatients(P < 0.05),whereas the occurrence of depression in age, sex, occupation, educational level, family status,Tumor types there was no statistically significant difference on the tumor type factors(P > 0.05).3.By means of observe the immunological indexes in patients with malignant tumors. It is obviously that The ratio of t-cell subsets in patients with malignant tumor anxiety decreased compared with those without anxiety, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).However,depression or not had no effect on the T cell subgroup ratio(P > 0.05),but there was a statistical difference in the IgA index of immunoglobulin(P >0.05).In addition, there was no significant difference in the effect of sleep quality on immunity(P > 0.05).Conclusions1.There is a certain incidence of anxiety and depression in patients with malignant tumors, and the two are positively correlated with each other.2.Occupation were the main influencing factors for the anxiety symptoms of tumor patients, while Tumor types, age, gender, education level and fertility situation had no significant influence on the occurrence of negative emotions of anxiety and depression.3.More than 50% of patients who was newly diagnosed malignant tumors had significantly decreased sleep quality, which was closely related to the occurrence of depression and negative emotions.4.Anxiety and depression in patients with malignant tumors have an influence on the immune system.
