Objective: To analyze the difference of serum Serpinb1 level between GDM group and normal blood glucose group during pregnancy, and its correlation with glycolipid metabolism, and to search for a potential serological marker of GDM.Methods: We retrospectively selected pregnant women of antenatal examination in Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University from January 2016 to December 2018.According to the visit-week of gestation and blood glucose level during pregnancy, all cases were divided into 5-12 week-gestation group(35 cases in GDM group,22 of which had been diagnosed with GDM at the time of blood collection, and 76 cases in normal blood glucose group),and 13-23 week-gestation group(50 cases in GDM group,24 of which were diagnosed GDM at the time of blood collection,63 cases in the normal blood glucose group),and 24 week-gestation-prenatal group(76 cases in the GDM group, all had been diagnosed GDM when taking blood,28 cases in the normal blood glucose group).Serpinb1 level was measured using the serum of patients routinely tested in the laboratory. The Serpinb1 level in the same gestation period was compared between GDM group and normal glucose group.Correlation analysis was then performed between Serpinb1 and glycolipid metabolism. Finally, regression analysis was performed to explore the predictive significance of Serpinb1 for the incidence of GDM after 24 weeks of gestation.Result: 1.At 5-12 week-gestation,Serpinb1 level was significantly higher in the 35-GDM group than in the 76-normal glycemic group(3.20 ± 2.49 vs 2.45 ± 1.10 ng / L,P=0.028).The significantly difference was also seen in 50-GDM group and 63-normal glycemic group at 13-23 week-gestation(2.61 ± 1.34 ng / L vs 2.16 ± 0.91,P = 0.034),and 76 of 24 week-gestation-prenatal group with 76-GDM and 28-normal blood glucose group(2.69 ± 1.18 ng / L vs 2.11 ± 0.92,P = 0.021).2.After 13-23 week-gestation,serum Serpinb1 level was positively correlated with fasting blood glucose and glycated albumin during the same period. In the 24-prenatal pregnancy group, serum Serpinb1 level was positively correlated with fasting blood glucose over the same period.3.After adjusting other risk factors of GDM,it can be observed that the higher Serpinb1 level at 13-23 week-gestation,the greater risk of developing GDM after 24 weeks of pregnancy(OR = 2.088,95% CI(1.102,3.956),P = 0.024).Conclusion: The elevated Serpinb1 level during pregnancy is associated with glucose metabolism and may be a serological marker of the onset of GDM.
