Purpose:To investigate the functional connectivity(FC)between any two seeds in whole brain and the seed based FC changes of the motor function cortex located in the meidal frontal cortex of depressed adolescents with and without suicidal attempt history. Methods:A total of 35 depressed adolescents with suicidal attempt history(SD group),40 depressed adolescents without suicidal attempt history(MDD group)and 38 healthy subjects(HC group)were selected for resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging(rs-f MRI)data collection. The 90 brain regions in AAL-90 atlas were selected as seeds, the FC between any two brain regions were calculated and compared among three groups. And the right precentral gyrus and the right supplementary motor area(SMA)in AAL atlas were selected as seeds, the seed based correlation analysis was used to investigate the FC between the motor function cortex and all the other voxels within the whole brain. The changes of FC were compared among the three groups. Results : Compared to HC group, the FC between any two seeds showed decreased FC between right precentral gyrus and left inferior occipital gyrus, and between right SMA and left insula. There exist aberrant FC of motor function cortex in MDD group, mainly decresed right precentreal FC with left superior occipital gyrus, and mainly decresed right SMA FC with left insula, left inferior occipital gyrus, left superior occipital gyrus, and right fusiform gyrus.Compared to MDD group, there exist aberrant FC of motor function cortex in patients with suicidal attempt behavior, mainly incresed right SMA functional connectivity with left superior occipital gyrus and left postcentral gyrus.Compared to HC group, there exist mainly incresed right precentral functional connectivity with left inferior occipital gyrus and right medium occipital gyrus. Conclusion : Depressed adolescents with and without suicidal behavior were showed abnoraml information integrate processing within the sensorimotor network.Depressed adolescents with suicidal attempt behavior showed incresed FC between the motor function cortex and the visual network while depressed adolescents without suicidal attempt behavior showed decresed FC in the above brain regions.
