Objective: to analyze the clinical effect of resecting thymoma by subxiphoid thoracoscope, lateral thoracoscope and median sternotomy. Methods: The data of 208 thymoma patients who underwent thoracic surgery in the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University from January 2003 to December 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. Objective: to compare the long-term outcomes and the general status of thymoma patients in three groups, and to provide evidence for the choice of surgical treatment for Thymoma. Results: There were no significant differences in the general data, postoperative related indexes, postoperative complications and follow-up indexes among the three groups(P< 0.05)The amount of bleeding, the length of hospital stay, the time of extubation, the amount of chest tube drainage, and the pain score of visual analogue scale were all significantly higher in the group of subxiphoid thoracoscopic(P< 0.05).Conclusions:1.Subxiphoid thoracoscopic surgery for thymoma in early stage of thymoma has been proved to be relatively safe and feasible.2.In the surgical treatment of thymoma, the subxiphoid thoracoscope group had better clinical curative effect than the median sternotomy group and the lateral thoracoscope group, there were significant differences in the intraoperative and postoperative indexes, such as bleeding volume, chest tube drainage volume, time of extubation, length of stay in hospital, postoperative pain score of visual analogue scale(vas),vs median sternotomy group and lateral thoracoscope Group(P< 0.05).
