Fungi are a group of important biological resource. As different disciplines merge and penetrate, fungal metabolites have created more and more benefits for humans. For example, through chemical research on fungi, the antimicrobial drug penicillin, hypolipidemic drug lovastatin, the immunosuppressive agents cyclosporine and rapamycin were discovered.Entomogenous fungi can produce a variety of active compounds with novel structures due to their unique characteristics such as their large variety, large number, differences in morphological characteristics, and diversity and complexity of metabolic types. Therefore, the chemical research on entomogenous fungi has aroused widespread concern. In this paper, chemical studies and activity evaluations of the secondary metabolites of two entomogenous fungi Cordyceps sp.LB1.18060004 and Penicillium janthinellum were performed,a total of 21 compounds were obtained using modern chromatographic separation techniques such as forward silica gel column chromatography,ODS column chromatography, gel column chromatography, and high performance liquid chromatography,of which 9 were new structure compounds and 12 were known compounds.Useing modern spectroscopy techniques such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, mass spectrometry,X-ray single crystal diffraction,we analyzed the structure of the compound, determined its plane and threedimensional structure, and performed antibacterial activity test, cytotoxic activity test, and DPPH free radical scavenging test on some compounds.Twelve compounds were isolated from the fermentation product of Cordyceps sp.LB1.18060004,including six new structure compounds,of which only compound 4 had DPPH free radical scavenging activity.Nine compounds were isolated from the fermentation products of Penicillium janthinellum LB1.20090001,including three new structure compounds.Compounds 18-20 had a moderate degree of antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus. The results of chemical research on two entomogenous fungi show that entomogenous fungi can produce metabolites with diverse structures and extensive activities, which not only provides alternative compounds for future research and development of new drugs, but also provides clues for the rational development and utilization of entomogenous fungal resources.
