Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the protection of SEP on spinal cord and nerve root during the operation of schwannoma. Methods: From September 2017 to September 2019,97 cases of intraspinal neurilemmoma met the inclusion criteria in our hospital.52 cases in the monitoring group,The others were the control group. The intraoperative approach and anesthesia were the same in 97 cases.Compare the changes of SEP,total tumor resection rate, spinal cord function,VAS score before and after operation and tumor recurrence rat in the two groups. Results: 1.In the process of operation,16 cases(31%)in the monitoring group were positive,13 cases recovered to the baseline level after operation,2 cases were lower than the baseline level, and 1 case disappeared.2.Follow up the muscle strength of the two groups half a year after operation.According to the JOA score and muscle strength rating results of the spinal cord, the muscle strength of the limbs in the monitoring group decreased by 2 cases(5.8%)compared with that before operation, and the muscle strength of the limbs in another group decreased by 7 cases(15.6%).According to the statistical analysis of the data,P < 0.05,which is significant.3.Sensory disturbance half a year after operation, among them,The sensory disturbance of the monitoring group was aggravated 7.7%;The sensory disturbance in the control group was aggravated 17.8%.According to the statistical analysis of data,P < 0.05,which was significant.4.There was no difference in VAS score in the two groups without any painkillers. One week after the operation,VAS score was also given without any painkillers. After the operation, the monitoring group was 1.57 ± 1.21,and the control group was 2.70 ± 1.82.After statistical analysis of data,P < 0.05.5.During the operation,50 patients in the monitoring group were completely resected, accounting for 96.1%,36 patients in the control group, accounting for 80%.According to the statistical analysis of the data,P < 0.05,which is significant; One year follow-up showed no recurrence in both groups. Conclusion: The application of SEP in the operation of intraspinal neurilemmoma can decrease spinal nerve function injury, improve the total tumor resection rate.
