Objective: In this study,345 patients with endometrial carcinoma(EC)were selected to investigate the correlation between ER /PR status and the EC Disease-free survival(DFS)rate. Methods: Immunohistochemical methods were used to detect ER/PR status of 345 postoperative tumor specimens, and the association between intensity, proportion, combined score of ER/PR expression and DFS of EC was evaluated.Gene expression data were obtained from the The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)research network. Results: According to Inclusion criteria,201 type ? and 144 type ? EC patients were enrolled in this study. In type ? EC patients, the intensity, proportion and combined score of ER/PR status were significantly correlated with DFS,and in the ER/PR combination group,DFS shows significant advantages in the ER high/PR high group, followed by ER high/PR low,ER low/PR high,ER low/PR low group. After adjusting for factors known to significantly impact survival, the influence of ER/PR status on DFS is generally decreased but the correlation is stillsignificant. In type ? EC patients, the intensity, proportion and combined score of ER were significantly correlated with DFS,and in the ER/PR combination group,DFS shows significant advantages in the ER high/PR high group, followed by ER high/PR low,ER low/PR low group. After adjusting for factors known to significantly impact survival, the influence of ER status on DFS is generally decreased but the correlation is still significant. Conclusion: After adjusting for factors known to significantly impact survival, the effect of ER/PR status on DFS of type ? endometrial cancer was statistically significant,K-M curves for ER/PR expression showed a DFS advantage for women with higher levels of ER/PR expression whether in proportion, intensity or conbined group.Patients with negative ER/PR expression showed a higher recurrence rate.In patients with type ?endometrial cancer, patients with positive ER expression are significantly associated with better DFS and it was independent of disease stage. However, the effect of PR expression on DFS is not statistically significant.
