| Objective:(1)To understand the current situation and characteristics of college freshmen suicide;(2)To explore the moderating effect of self-control between suicidal ideation and suicide behavior. Methods: Investigation research: The 3311 college students was investigated with Dual-Mode of Self-Control Scale for adolescents and Suicidal Ideation and Suicide Behavior to understand the current situation of college students’ suicidal ideation and suicide behavior,to investigate the self-control level of suicidal behavior in individuals with suicidal ideation, and to explore the moderating effect of self-control in the mechanism of ideation to behavior change.Experimental research: Using the implicit association test, explore the moderating effect of self-control in the mechanism of ideation to behavior change from the Implicit perspective. Results: 1.Survey findings(1)The detection rate of suicidal ideation in college students is 14.1%,the detection rate of female(15.0%)students is higher than that of male students(12.3%),and there is a significant difference(χ~2=3.85,p<0.05).The detection rate of suicide behavior is 5.10%,he detection rate of male(6.9%)students is higher than that of female students(4.2%),and there is a significant difference(χ~2=9.46,p<0.01).(2)According to binary Logistic regression analysis, male students have a significantly higher risk of suicide behavior than female students(OR=0.60,95%CI: 0.43-0.83,p<0.05),suicidal ideation increases the risk of suicide behavior(OR=4.34,95%CI: 3.07-6.14,p<0.001),The frequency of suicidal ideation increases the risk of suicide behavior(OR=4.20,95%CI: 1.09-16.39,p<0.05).Further interaction results showed that the interaction between suicidal ideation and selfcontrol was significant in the high group(p<0.001),not significant in the low group(p>0.05).That is,compared with the low group, the middle group and the high group had a relatively low prediction of the risk of suicidal behavior,(low group: OR=5.68,95%CI: 1.88-5.32,p<0.001,medium group : OR=5.08,95%CI: 2.80-9.17,p<0.001,high group: OR=3.15,95%CI: 2.60-12.35,p<0.001).The interaction between suicide frequency and self-control was not significant(p > 0.05).2.Experimental study results(1)In the group positive for suicidal ideation, the scores of implicit suicidal ideation in the positive group(1.18 ± 2.49)were significantly higher than those in the negative group(0.44±1.69)(t=-2.32,p<0.05).In the negative group of suicide ideation, there was no significant difference between the positive group and the negative group in implicit suicide ideation(t=-0.02,p > 0.05).(2)The intensity of implicit suicidal ideation has a significant predictive effect on suicide attempt(OR=1.24,95%CI: 1.03-1.50,p<0.05),the influence of self-control on suicide attempt is in a marginal and significant state, which shows that with the increase of self-control,the risk incidence rate of suicide attempt of individuals keeps decreasing, the interaction between implicit suicidal ideation and self-control was significant(p<0.05),that is,self-control had a moderating effect between implicit suicidal ideation and suicide attempt.Conclusion:(1)The detection rate of suicidal ideation was 14.1% and the detection rate of behavior was 5.10%.(2)Self-control moderates the transition from explicit suicidal ideation and implicit suicidal ideation to suicide behavior. |
