Research On The Cognitive Attitudes And Influencing Factors Of The Senior Citizens In Taiyuan City

Objective:With the continuous deepening of the aging population in Taiyuan City,the issue of health and old-age care has become a key issue that is widely concerned by the whole society.Based on the study of the current situation of aging in Taiyuan City,this article further understands the elderly in Taiyuan City's combination of medical care and elderly care model.The awareness rate,the cognitive attitude towards the implementation of the combination of medical care and elderly care services,and discussion of the needs of its service items,the choice of medical care and support mode selection tendencies,the willingness to pay,and so on.and put forward related countermeasures and suggestions to promote the development of Taiyuan City's health care business.Method:Research methods include literature research method,random sampling method and questionnaire survey method.Based on the literature research on health care services,we went deep into the six main urban areas of Taiyuan City,randomly selected elderly residents aged 60 years and above to conduct face-to-face surveys,and collected a total of489 valid questionnaires.The questionnaire is a self-designed questionnaire,which includes four parts: the basic information of the elderly,the health status of the elderly,the status of healthy elderly care,and the demand for specific health care services.The recovered data were entered using EpiData3.1 software,and data analysis was performed using SPSS19.0,descriptive statistics were performed on all survey subjects,single-factor analysis was performed using chi-square test,and the binary logistic regression analysis was performed on variables with statistical significance in single-factor analysis.Result:1.Basic situation: The survey collected a total of 510 questionnaires.The questionnaires that did not meet the requirements were excluded,and 489 valid questionnaires were obtained,with an effective rate of 95.88%.The majority of the survey's age group is between 65 to 70 years old,and the proportion of elderly people gradually decreases with increasing age;253 males and 236 females,theratio of male to female is about 1: 1;the seniors with less than high school education account for more than 50%;51.3% of the elderly occupations are farmers or residents before retirement;333 people with a monthly income of less than 2,000 yuan,accounting for 68.1% of the total number;50.9% of the total number of children with three children and above;there are 273 people living with the spouse,accounting for 55.8% of the total number of people surveyed;nearly half of the elderly's daily economic income is the means of child support,accounting for 47.58%;and 338 people participating in the basic medical insurance for urban and rural residents,accounting for the total 69.1% of the population.2.Health status of the elderly: There are 185 healthy and healthier elderly people,accounting for 37.84%,and there are 230 elderly people in general health,accounting for 47.03% of the total,and 74 people with poor and very poor health People,accounting for 15.13% of the total number;the prevalence of chronic diseases in the elderly is 88.3%;the disability rate is 18%.3.Cognitive attitudes and expectations of the elderly on the combination of medical care and nursing services: The elderly in Taiyuan City do not have a high level of overall understanding of the "health care and elderly care integration" model.60.4% of the elderly are at a low level or do not know about the health care services;the vast majority of the elderly(86.3%)support the combination of medical care and the elderly care model;The service items expected by the elderly from high to low are medical care(86.1%),home care services(41.7%),sports and entertainment(37.8%),psychological care(31.7%),day care services(15.1%),Learning and training(12.3%);65.2% of the elderly are willing to pay below 1500 yuan.4.Factors Affecting the Attitudes of the elderly towards the Combination of Medical and Elderly Care Models: The results show that there are five main factors influencing the residents' choice of combining medical care and nursing in Taiyuan,namely: the health status of the elderly,the degree of self-care,the number of children raised,the monthly income and the degree of understanding.Conclusion:Residents of Taiyuan City have a low level of knowledge about the combination of health care and elderly care,nursing and home-based care is still the main pattern.The majority of the respondents in the survey agree with the combination of health care and elderly care services.It is recommended thatrelevant departments strengthen the promotion of health care services and develop a more targeted and purposeful development of the model of combining medical care with the elderly in China.
