Objective:To investigate the relationship between ANGPTL6,Leptin and related metabolic parameters in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)and explore the role of ANGPTL6、Leptin in T2 DM patients with NAFLD.Methods:We enrolled 40 T2 DM patients in our hospital, according to the abdominal ultrasound results, the patients were divided into two groups:simple T2DM(B)group(20cases)and T2 DM with NAFLD(C)group(20cases).We also enrolled 20 healthy controls from the hospital in the same period as control(A)group.Serum ANGPTL6,Leptin levels, general information(height, weight, blood pressure)and biochemical indicators(fasting blood glucose, fasting insulin, glycoslated hemoglobin, blood lipids and liver enzymes)were determinde in all subjects. We Compared the correlation indexes of each group and analyzed the relationship between ANGPTL6,Leptin and T2 DM with NAFLD.Results:1.The serum ANGPTL6 and Leptin levels in T2 DM patients(inculding simple T2 DM group and T2 DM with NAFLD group)were significantly higher than those who in the healthy control group(P<0.05).2.In the healthy control group,we observed a positive correlation between serum ANGPTL6 and TC(P<0.05).In the simple T2 DM group, the levels of level of ANGPTL6 was significantly positively correlated with AGE,BMI,TG and SBP(P<0.05).While in the T2 DM with NAFLD group,ANGPTL6 was positively correlated with BMI、SBP and Gender(more expressed in women than men)(P<0.05). In the simple T2 DM group, the levels of level of Leptin was significantly positively correlated with Gender(more expressed in women than men)(P<0.05).While in the T2 DM with NAFLD group,Leptin was positively correlated with BMI and SBP(P<0.05).In general,ANGPTL6 was positively correlated with BMI and SBP,Leptin Was positively correlated with BMI(P<0.05).3.Logistic regression analysis showed that increased Age,increased TG and increased Leptin were independent risk factors for T2 DM with NAFLD.Conclusion:ANGPTL6 and Leptin were significantly increased in patients with T2 DM,but there was no significant difference between T2 DM with NAFLD grorp and simple T2 DM group.Logistic regression analysis showed that Age,TG and Leptin were independent risk factors for the occurrrence of T2 DM with NAFLD.This study does not demonstrate the role of ANGPTL6,Leptin in T2 DM with NAFLD and further study is needed.
