| Objective:To retrospectively summarize and analyze the epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, auxiliary examinations, treatment regimens and outcomes of patients with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Method:Retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of68 confirmed COVID-19 patients in Western Chongqing from January 21,2020 to February 7,2020,and the epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory results, imaging characteristics, treatment methods and outcomes of the non-severe group(mild and normal type)and the severe group(severe and critical type)were statistically analyzed. Results:A total of 68 COVID-19 patients were included in this study, mainly of the non-severe type(n=57,83.8%),with an average age of(48.8±17.9)years old,and 67.6%(46/68)males.fever(n=46,67.6%)and Cough(n=43,63.2%)were the most common symptoms in COVID-19patients.The decrease rate of CD4~+T lymphocyte count was 77.9%(53/68).The rate of bilateral lung involvement and pleural thickening on chest CT was 67.6%(46/68)and 16.2%(11/68).Compared with the non-severe group, the average age of patients with severe disease was larger, and more patients suffered from chronic underlying diseases(P<0.05).Compared with the non-severe group, the levels of peripheral blood lymphocyte count, total T lymphocyte count,CD4~+T lymphocyte count and CD8~+T lymphocyte count in the severe group were lower, and more often both lungs were involved in the severe group(P<0.05).All patients with COVID-19 received oxygen inhalation therapy, antiviral therapy and traditional Chinese medicine therapy.By March 15,2020,68 patients(100%)were discharged.Conclusions:COVID-19 patients in Western Chongqing were mainly of non-severe type.Fever and cough were the common first symptoms in COVID-19 patients, and the elderly and those with diabetes were more prone to be seriously ill.In the early stage of the disease,CD4~+T lymphocyte count was often reduced and multiple double lungs were involved.Compared with the non-severe group, the levels of lymphocyte count and T lymphocyte subsets were lower and chest CT scan was more severe in the severe group.Lymphocyte subsets detection and imaging examination should be carried out as early as possible. |
