the development of our army’s modernization have increasingly highlighted the high demand for the healthy psychology and personality of our servicemen. As the absolute strength of the army, the healthy psychology and personality of the servicemen in the field army are related to the security, stability and combat effectiveness of the whole army.At present, emotional disturbance(anxiety and depression)are often used to assess and predict the mental health status of servicemen in China. In recent years, with more and more attention paid to cognitive neuroscience of emotion and personality,an emerging research field,Affective Neuroscience(AN),has gradually formed. The subject is an interdisciplinary field to explore the neural mechanisms of emotion and mood.It integrates neuroscience with personality, emotion and emotional psychology.Among them, the research on personality mainly focuses on the emotional part of personality, namely Affective Personality.Affective personality, also known as Affective neuroscience personality,as a stable personality trait,it regulates the individual’s emotional response and emotional tendencies, and affects the individual’s cognitive process. At present, the Affective Neuroscience Personality Scales(ANPS)is widely used to evaluate the individual’s affective personality structure. Many evidences show that affective personality, especially negative affective personality,is closely related to individual attentional bias, anxiety, depression and other emotional disturbance and mental health level.Affective personality can predict the risk of emotional disturbance, especially depressive disorders. In addition, attentional bias, attentional control and emotional disturbance are also related. However, the existing research results are not uniform.Aiming at the special group of servicemen in field army,it is of great significance to analyze their affective personality characteristics, especially the relationship between negative affective personality characteristics and emotional disturbance, attentional bias and attentional control. However,at home and abroad, the research on the relationship between passive affective personality and emotional disturbance, attentional bias and attentional control of servicemen in field army has not yet been seen. Therefore, the purpose of this study is:1.To investigate the applicability of the Affective Neuroscience Personality Scales-Negative(ANPS-N)in the field army through a large sample survey.2.To analyze the characteristics of passive affective personality and its relationship with emotional disturbance, attentional bias and attentional control.3.To investigate the performance differences of field servicemen with different negative affective personality on emotional Flanker task. The main results are summarized as follows:1.The revised Affective Neuroscience Personality Scales-Negative has better applicability in the field army.By item analysis and exploratory factor analysis,21 of 42 items of the original ANPS-N scale were deleted, and the names of fear, anger and sadness were retained.21 items of the revised ANPS-N were formed. The reliability and validity test showed that the reliability and validity of the revised ANPS-N scale were significantly higher than that of the original 42-item ANPS-N scale, which indicated that the revised negative emotional neuroscience personality scale had better applicability in field troops.2.The negative affective personality of field servicemen can predict the risk of emotional disturbance, and attentional bias and attentional control may play a part of mediating role in it.A total of 1121 field servicemen were investigated by using the revised 21-item Negative Affective Neuroscience Personality Scale(ANPS-N),Baker Anxiety Scale(BAI),Baker Depression Scale(BDI-II),Positive and Negative Attention Partial Vector Scale(APNIS)and Simple Attentional control Scale(ACS).(1)The negative affective personality of servicemen in field armys is not affected by external factors. The more obvious the negative affective personality traits are,the worse their adaptability, emotional disturbance, negative attentional bias and attentional control weakening are. There was no significant difference in negative affective personality traits among servicemen of different ages, military ages, educational backgrounds and ranks(P > 0.05),indicating that negative affective personality was not affected by acquired external factors;there were significant differences in negative affective personality among servicemen with different adaptation conditions(P < 0.01),and the better adaptability, the better negative affective personality traits. The higher the negative affective personality, the higher the scores of anxiety, depression and negative attentional bias, and the lower the scores of positive attentional bias, attentional control, attention concentration and attention transfer(P < 0.01).(2)The negative affective personality of field servicemen can predict the risk of emotional disturbance.Stepwise regression analysis showed that three factors of negative affective personality and higher-order negative affective personality dimensions could predict 19.90% and 18.70% of the risk of anxiety disorder and 33.90% and 30.40% of the risk of depression disorder respectively.(3)Attentional bias and attentional control partially mediate the predictive effect of negative affective personality on the risk of emotional disturbanceThe stepwise regression analysis of negative affective personality, attentional bias, attentional control and emotional disturbance showed that fear, sadness and high-order negative affective personality combined with positive attentional bias, attention concentration and attention transfer could predict 26.30% and 25.60% of anxiety disorders. The two factors of fear, sadness and higher-order negative affective personality combined with positive attentional bias, negative attentional bias, attention concentration and attention transfer can predict 45.70% and 43.50% of the possibility of depressive disorder.Mediating effect analysis showed that positive attentional bias, attention concentration and attention transfer played a part of mediating role in predicting the risk of emotional disturbance(anxiety and depression)by negative affective personality, and negative attentional bias also played a part of mediating role in predicting the risk of depression by negative affective personality.3.In the emotional Flanker experiment task, the negative attentional bias, conflict maladjustment and attentional control ability of servicemen with high negative affective personality were more obvious. In the emotional Flanker task experiment, the performance of two groups of subjects with high and low negative affective personality was analyzed by repeated measures of variance. The results showed that in the response time to emotional faces, the response time of individuals with high negative affective personality was longer than that of positive emotional faces(762.05±24.93),and the response time of individuals with high negative affective personality was longer than that of positive emotional faces(720.92±23.02).The reaction time of negative emotional faces(805.43±175.01)was longer than that of individuals with low negative affective personality(718.67±116.66);the difference of the two groups was not significant in the correctness rate.It shows that the negative attentional bias of servicemen with high negative affective personality is more obvious. The independent sample t-test was used to analyze the conflict adaptation effect between the two groups of subjects. It was found that when the emotional value of stimulus materials was the same in the current test, the response time of high negative affective personality individuals(777.30±169.47)was longer than that of low negative affective personality individuals(703.49±113.32).However,there was no significant difference in the conflict fitness of response time between different trials. In terms of accuracy, there were no significant differences in the indicators and conflict fitness between the two groups(P < 0.05).In addition, both groups had negative conflict fitness in response, while the high negative affective personality group had negative conflict fitness in correctness. It shows that the servicemen with high negative affective personality are not well adapted to conflict and pay more attention to the reduction of control. In conclusion, the revised Negative Emotional Neuroscience Personality Scale has better applicability in field troops. In the future, the revised Negative Emotional Neuroscience Personality Scale and Behavioral Experiment Task can be used to evaluate and classify the servicemen in the psychological assessment, selection and mental health intervention and training of field troops,so as to improve the objectivity and accuracy of psychological assessment, focusing on those with high negative emotions.Individuals with obvious personality traits should strengthen their training in positive attentional bias and attentional control so as to reduce their risk of emotional disturbance, improve their anxiety and depression levels and improve their mental health level. | |
