Objective:Discussing the effective CE angle and acetabular cup coverage of acetabular prostheses through digital simulation technology with different heights of rotation center during total hip arthroplasty in patients with developmental dysplasia of the hip were discussed.Methods: From March 2013 to June 2019,we collected pelvic CT imaging data of 8 patients with developmental dysplasia of the hip(crowe III),and reconstructed the pelvic and acetabular cups imaging of patients using Mimics and Solidworks softwares.According to the size of the patients’ own acetabulum,we installed a suitable acetabular cup at the position of the true acetabulum,.We moved the acetabular cup up to20 mm in increments of 2mm in order to compare the placement of hips at different heights about effective CE angle of acetabular prosthesis and acetabular cup coverage.Results: In total hip arthroplasty,Crowe III type of developmentdysplasia of the hip was treated by moving the center of rotation upward.In the experiment,the center of rotation was restored to 12 mm above the center of anatomical rotation to obtain the best CC(93.16 ± 1.04%).The best eCE angle(28.90 ± 1.31 °)was obtained when the rotation center restored to 14 mm above the anatomical center of rotation.Conclusion: Without structural bone transplantation,the treatment of developmental dysplasia of the hip(Crowe III)by appropriate upward movement of the center of rotation in total hip arthroplasty will obtain a more stable acetabular cup.
