| ObjectiveIn order to provide suitable solvent selection and guide the rational clinical application of antibiotics,we compared the difference of the antibacterial activity of cefpodoxime in vitro of cefpodoxime in 0.1%sodium bicarbonate solution and 45%methanol solution, and the difference of the antibacterial activity of cefpodoxime in vitro of cefpodoxime and cefixime in 0.1%sodium bicarbonate solution basis.MethodsFrom June 2018 to October 2019,100 cases of community-acquired pneumonia in children’s Hospital of Jiangxi Province were selected retrospectively.0.10%sodium bicarbonate solution and 45.00%methanol solution were used as the solvent of cefpodoxime proxetil respectively.According to the American Association of clinical and laboratory standards recommended that the susceptibility and drug resistance of pathogenic bacteria to cefpodoxime proxetil and cefixime should be determined by macro broth dilution method(test tube)and compared.Results1.When cefpodoxime proxetil was used as the solvent in 0.10%sodium bicarbonate solution, its MIC50 and MIC90 values to Streptococcus,Haemophilus influenzae and catamora were all in the sensitive range, showing a strong antibacterial effect. When 45.00%methanol solution was used as solvent,it showed different resistance to all bacteria.2.When cefpodoxime proxetil was used as solvent in 0.10%sodium bicarbonate solution, the MBC50 and MBC90 values of Haemophilus influenzae,β-suppurative Streptococcus and Streptococcus lactis were still in the sensitive range of MIC,showing a strong antibacterial effect. When 45.00%methanol solution was used as solvent,it showed different resistance to all bacteria.3.When cefpodoxime proxetil was used in 0.10%sodium bicarbonate solution and 45.00%methanol solution as solvent, the sensitivity of cefpodoxime proxetil to 100 strains of isolates was 70.00%(70/100 strains),29.00%(29/100 strains),and the resistance rate was 22.00%(22/100 strains)and 59.00%(59/100 strains),respectively. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(x2=34.68,P<0.05).4.The MICso of cefixime was sensitive to Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae, while the MIC90 was resistant;cefpodoxime proxetil was used as a solvent in 0.10%sodium bicarbonate solution, its MIC50 and MIC90 values to the above two kinds of bacteria were in the sensitive range, showing a strong antibacterial effect. The two drugs showed different degrees of resistance to other bacteria.5.The MBC range of cefpodoxime proxetil to Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae was significantly lower than that of cefixime, showing a strong bactericidal effect. The MBC50 and MBC90 values of the two drugs to catamora,β-suppurative Streptococcus and Streptococcus lactis are still in the sensitive range of MIC,both of them have a strong bactericidal effect, and all of them have different degrees of resistance to the remaining bacteria.6.The sensitivity of cefpodoxime proxetil to 100 isolates was 70.00%(70/100 strains),the resistance rate was 22.00%(22/100 strains),the sensitivity rate of cefixime to 100 isolates was 57.0%(57/100 strains)and the resistance rate was 39.00%(39/100 strains). The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(x2=7.40,P=0.03).Conclusions1.Using broth dilution method to test the antibacterial activity of cefpodoxime proxetil in vitro,0.10%sodium bicarbonate solution can be used as the solvent.2.Cefpodoxime proxetil has high sensitivity to common pathogens of children’s community-acquired pneumonia. It can be used as the drug choice for the initial empirical treatment of children’s respiratory tract bacterial infection, and also as the appropriate choice for sequential antibiotic therapy of children’s common respiratory tract bacterial infection. |
