| Objective:With the increase of population aging, the health problem was paied more and more attenion.Anaemia is a common phenominon in the elderly. It was well known that glomerular fltration rate(GFR)declined physiologically with the in crease of age.GFR decline will lead to renal anemia for the patients with chronic kidney disease(CKD).In this study,we investingated the prevalence of anemia in the elderly patients undergoing physical examination, and analyzed the relationship between anemia and estimated glomerular filtration rate(e GFR)by analyzing the data of the elderly patients undergoing physical examination. Methods: A total of 8677 the elderly patients undergoing physical examination subjects from the Medical Examination Center of Yijishan Hospital in Wuhu city from January to December 2016.Demographic and clinical characteristics were collected and recorded. We use the Chinese Modification of Diet in Renal Disea(C-MDRD)to calculate e GFR.Divided into 2 groups according to gender and 3 groups according to age.The prevalence of anemia and e GFR level of each group were analyzed separately to compare whether there were statistical differences. Then use e GFR as a continuous variable to analyze its correlation with anemia. Finally, the e GFR levels were divided into 5 groups to analyze the prevalence of anemia, the morphological distribution of anemia cells, and the risk of anemia. Results: Among 8677 elderly people, there were 1259 cases of anemia, and the prevalence of anemia was 14.5%,of which the prevalence of male anemia is 12.3%,the prevalence of female anemia is 17.9%.The prevalence of anemia The morbidityrate gradually increased with age,and there was a statistically significant difference in the prevalence of anemia in different genders and age groups(P<0.001).With the increase of age,e GFR decreased, and the difference of e GFR among different age groups was statistically significant(P<0.001).The correlation analysis between e GFR as a continuous variable and anemia showed that the OR value between e GFR and anemia was 1.017(P<0.001),and the OR value after correction for each factor was1.014(P<0.001).The e GFR gradually decreased, and the prevalence of anemia gradually increased. There was a statistically significant difference between the e GFR level groups(P<0.001).All e GFR level groups were mainly normal cell anemia.Taking the first group of the e GFR level group as the control group for multivariate logistic analysis, the risk of anemia in the second, third, fourth, and fifth level groups increased. After correcting for related factors, the OR values of each group were: 1.21(P=0.07)),2.07(P<0.001),9.48(P<0.001),36.84(P<0.001).Conclusion: The incidence of anemia in the elderly physical examination population is 14.5%,and the prevalence of women is higher than that of men.At the same time, the prevalence of anemia increases with age.Elderly physical examination population is mainly normal cell anemia.e GFR is a risk factor for anemia in the elderly on physical examination. As e GFR decreases, the risk of anemia increases. |
