| Objective:To explore the correlation between the spee curve depth and craniofacial structure in adult patients with different vertical facial types of Angle’s class I malocclusion,so as to provide a reference for the clinical correction of it.Methods:A total of 68 adult patients with class I malocclusion were enrolled in this study, according to the Vertical facial types, they were divided into low-angle group(24 cases),average-angle group(27 cases)and high-angle group(17 cases). After the cone-beam computed tomography(CBCT)of all patients were collected and imported into Invivo 5.2 software to reconstruct the original image,a three-dimensional coordinate system was establish to determine the measurement reference plane, then mark the craniofacial measurement markers, and measure the spee curve and craniofacial related measurement items(15 items in total). Finally,SPSS 25.0statistical software was used to analyze all experimental data.Results:1.The bilateral spee curve depth and craniofacial structure of all those patients with Angle’s Class I malocclusion showed no significant difference.2.The difference of the Spee curve depth among patients with different vertical facial types was statistically significant, the Spee curve depth in the average-angle group was smaller than that in the low-angle group but larger than that in the high-angle group.3.There was no significant difference among the three groups in the measurement data of craniofacial structure: ANB,APDI,L1-NB,L1-Go Gn,L7-OP,L7-Go Gn.4.SNA,SNB,S-Go’/N-Me of the average-angle group were significantly smaller than that of the low-angle group and larger than that of the high-angle group.Go Gn-SN and Go Gn-FH of the average-angle group were significantly larger than that of the low-angle group but smaller than that of the high-angle group.5.There were significant differences in ODI,FH-SN,U1-SN between the low-angle group and the high-angle group.ODI,U1-SN in the low-angle group were higher than that both of the average-angle group andhigh-angle group, while he FH-SN in the low-angle group was lower than other two groups.6.U1-NA of high-angle group was significantly smaller than that in low-angle group.7.The correlation between spee curve depth and craniofacial structure indicated that ODI,S-Go’/N-Me,U1-SN,U1-NA were positively correlated with spee curve depth, while APDI,Go Gn-SN,Go Gn-FH,L1-NB,L1-Go Gn,L7-OP and L7-Go Gn showed negative correlation with spee curve depth.Conclusion:1.The bilateral Spee curve depth and craniofacial structure of adult patients Angle’s Class I malocclusion were basically symmetrical.2.The Spee curve depth of adult patients with Angle’s Class I malocclusion in different types of vertical facial was significantly different. The average-angle group was larger than the high-angle group and smaller than the low-angle group.3.There were significant differences in vertical facial of adult patients with Angle’s Class I malocclusion, which were mainly between the vertical relationship and the inclination of the upper anterior teeth.4.The Spee curve depth was closely related to craniofacial structure in adult patients with Angle’s Class I malocclusion. |
