Objectives:To evaluate the short-term clinical efficacy of the Jie Jie Dao Qi(JJDQ)acupuncture therapy for Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy(CSR)from the symptom, sign, dysfunction and other aspects, and observe the long-term efficacy of follow-up.Methods:This study collected 78 patients who were diagnosed as CSR in the acupuncture department and orthopedics department of our hospital from March 2019 to January 2020,and met the inclusion criteria. They were randomly divided into treatment and control groups,39 cases for each. The treatment group adopted the JJDQ acupuncture method, and the control group used the traditional acupuncture method,1 course per week, with 3 courses as the treatment cycle. The Tanaka Jingjiu cervical spondylosis 20-point method symptom quantification table and the overall efficacy of CSR are the main outcome index, the visual analogue scale(VAS),Northwick Park neck pain Questionnaire(NPQ)and cervical spine examination test scores are the secondary outcome indicators.Evaluations were performed before treatment and after each treatment course, and telephone follow-up was conducted on the 30 th day after treatment. In this study,we compared the difference of curative effect and treatment characteristics between the JJDQ acupuncture therapy and traditional acupuncture by operating a randomized controlled trial, divided the treatment course, and multi-time point evaluation.Results:1.In this study,a total of 72 patients completed the test,37 in the treatment group and35 in the control group. The general data of the two groups and all integral indicators before treatment were not statistically significant(P>0.05).These data were comparable.2.The results of the pairwise comparison within the group showed that among all outcome indicators, there were significant differences between adjacent treatment courses and before and after treatment in each group(P<0.01),except for the VAS scores between the first and second courses of the treatment group(P>0.05).It shows that both acupuncture methodshave therapeutic effects on CSR.3.In the results of the Tanaka Jingjiu Cervical Spondylosis 20-point Symptom Quantification Table, the difference between the two groups after the first course of treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the second and third courses of treatment, the score comparison between the two groups was significantly different(P<0.01).The treatment group is significantly better than the control group.4.The total effective rate of the JJDQ acupuncture for CSR is 94.59%,mainly based on marked effect, accounting for 45.95%,the cure and marked effect rate is 72.98%.The total effective rate of traditional acupuncture method is 88.57%,mainly based on effective part, accounting for 71.43%,the the cure and marked effect rate accounted for 17.15%.After non-parametric test of grade data, the curative effect of the two groups was significantly different(P<0.01).The treatment group is significantly better than the control group in clinical curative effect.5.The VAS score showed that the scores of the two groups were significantly different after the first course of treatment(P<0.01),and the score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group;there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups after the second and third courses(P>0.05).This indicates that the analgesic effect of the treatment group is more rapidly.6.The NPQ score results showed that there were significant differences between the two groups during each course of treatment and follow-up(P<0.01).The treatment group was superior to the control group.7.The results of the cervical spine test showed that there was no significant difference in the total score between the two groups after the first and second courses(P>0.05),but after the first course of treatment, the difference in scores before and after treatment between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the difference in scores before and after treatment in the treatment group was greater than that in the control group. After the third course of treatment, the difference in total score between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The treatment group was superior to the control group in improving the cervical spine test.Conclusion:1.The total curative effect of the JJDQ acupuncture to improve cervical spondylotic radiculopathy is better than traditional acupuncture, and the effect is faster;2.The analgesic effect of the JJDQ acupuncture on CSR has a short onset time, and it is effective after 1 week of treatment, which is better than the control group;it is better than the control group in improving the dysfunction and the positive signs of the cervical spine test.3.On the 30 th day after the JJDQ acupuncture treatment, the NPQ score rebounded significantly less than the traditional acupuncture method, indicating that this new acupuncture method has a longer lasting effect.
