Objective: By comparing the clinical efficacy of Ginger-separated Moxibustion Combined with traditional Chinese medicine atomization(Bufei Decoction and Erchen Decoction)and Western medicine in the treatment of stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)of lung-qi deficiency type and its effects on pulmonary function, the number of inflammatory cells and the frequency of acute attacks, the therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine combined with traditional Chinese medicine on stable COPD of lung-qi deficiency type was discussed. Methods: Ninety patients with stable COPD of lung-qi deficiency type were randomly divided into observation group(45 cases treated by traditional Chinese medicine atomization combined with Ginger-separated moxibustion)and control group(45 cases treated by Western medicine). The observation group used Ginger-separated Moxibustion at Feishu(double),Dazhui(double),ointment(double)acupoints, moxibustion at each acupoint was 2 zhuang. At the same time,10 ml of Bufei Decoction and Erchen Decoction was used,20 minutes of aerosol inhalation, once every other day,10 times as a course of treatment, two courses of treatment;the control group took ambroxol hydrochloride oral solution 10 ml,compound methoxynamine capsules 2,salbutamol aerosol once, three times a day,for continuous treatment.40 days. The observation period of the two groups was 1 year, and the CAT scores were made once every 3 months.Pulmonary function tests were performed before and 1 year after treatment in both groups. The differences of clinical efficacy, pulmonary function, number of peripheral blood cells,CAT score,TCM syndrome score and the number of COPD acute attacks in one year between the two groups were observed.Results:(1)In the observation group,21 cases were markedly effective,18 cases were effective and 6 cases were ineffective, the total effective rate was 86.67%;in the control group,22 cases were markedly effective,18 cases were effective and 5 cases were ineffective, the total effective rate was 88.89%.There was no significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups(P > 0.05),suggesting that the curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine atomization combined with Ginger-separated Moxibustion was similar to that of Western medicine.(2)In terms of pulmonary function,FEV1 and FEV1/FVC in both groups decreased compared with those before treatment(P < 0.05),indicating that both groups were effective in improving pulmonary function.(3)The number of neutrophils and monocytes in the two groups before and after treatment was significantly different(P < 0.05),indicating that the treatment of the two groups can effectively reduce the number of inflammatory cells.(4)Comparing the observation group with the self-treatment group, there were significant differences in the follow-up CAT scores after treatment and 1 year(P < 0.01);compared with the self-treatment group, there were significant differences in the follow-up CAT scores after treatment and within 6 months(P < 0.01),and there were significant differences in the follow-up after 1 year(P < 0.05).After one year follow-up,there was significant difference in CAT score between the two groups(P < 0.05).It is suggested that both the observation group and the control group can significantly improve the quality of life of COPD patients.Follow-up after one year shows that the quality of life of the observation group is better than that of the control group(5)In terms of TCM symptoms, there are statistical differences in cough, shortness of breath, spontaneous sweating and fatigue between the observation group and the control group(P < 0.01);there are statistical differences in the follow-up of cough and shortness of breath in the control group before and after treatment and during one year(P < 0.01,P < 0.05).The effect of the observation group on improving clinical symptoms was better than that of the control group.(6)The acute attack rate of the two groups within one year was significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion: The clinical efficacy of Ginger-separated Moxibustion Combined with traditional Chinese medicine atomization in treating stable COPD with lung-qi deficiency is similar to that of Western medicine, but it is better than western medicine in controlling the recurrence of symptoms and preventing acute attack. It is suggested that this method can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and quality of life of patients. It is one of the more effective methods to treat stable COPD of lung-qi deficiency type, and it is worthy of clinical application.
