Because of its high utilization frequency in daily life and its complex grammatical features,psychological stative verb is an important and special part in Chinese and it is a difficult part in the actual second language teaching.In recent years,many scholars are so interested in this field that there are more and more studies on the noumenon of psychological verb.However,the studies about the acquisition of psychological stative verb in Chinese as a second language is relatively less.And even there is not any research on the acquisition of Chinese psychological stative verbs of Students from English-speaking countries.Therefore,based on the Students from English-speaking countries as the research object,the definition that what is psychological Chinese stative verb by Wen Yali as the foundation,HSK dynamic composition corpus as the research scope,and 29 psychological stative verbs agreed by the various scholars as the key word,the paper aimed at studying on the acquisition of Chinese psychological stative verbs of Students from English-speaking countries.We hope it is able to enrich the related research results.In the introduction part,we discussed the research significance,the research achievements of predecessors on the psychological stative verb and the research target and so on.The second chapter of this article is about the research design,the research methods,the selection and the scope of corpus and corpus annotation and research steps.The third chapter is the key point of this article.From the perspective of level vocabulary of psychological stative verb and the students' Chinese level,through the detailed description and analysis about the utilization frequency of psychological stative verb and the accuracy,we can have a good understanding of the acquisition of psychological stative verb of students from English-speaking countries and we try to explain the results.In the fourth chapter,combined with the results of the study on psychological stative verbs in teaching Chinese as a second language,we tried to give some teaching advices.After comprehensive analysis,we concluded that the utilization frequency of the psychological stative verb of students from English-speaking countries is unbalanced.Students from English-speaking countries tend to use A-class Chinese psychological stative verb:"like","hope","think","believe","care","vill","want3","want4","love 1',"love2".However,there is a significant correlation between the vocabulary level and utilization frequency of Chinese psychological stative verbs.That is to say,the higher of the level of psychological stative verb,the lower of the utilization frequency and the lower of the level of psychological stative verb,the higher of the utilization frequency.And we also found that there was a certain difference about the order of the utilization frequency of LI English students and Chinese native speakers,especially the order of the A-class and B-class psychological stative verb.In the aspect of the accuracy of using psychological stative verbs:On the whole,the number of the errors is a few.We can believe that the result of acquisition is quite good.According to the average accuracy,it seems that the students can have an improvement on the 29 psychological stative verbs selected in this article with their Chinese level improved.Even at the last,they can completely acquire them,just like the native speakers.However,according to the single-factor analysis of variance procedure(ANOVA),we learned that the students' accuracy of using Chinese psychological stative verbs correctly did not increase with the improvement of their Chinese level.The same syntactic and semantic characteristics of English and Chinese of the psychological stative verbs make Students from English-speaking countries have a positive transfer in the acquisition of Chinese psychological stative verb so that they have a significant and higher utilization frequency and accuracy.And the difference of the psychological stative verbs between English and Chinese is one reason that students make errors.The errors in the acquisition of psychological stative verb are mainly semantic errors.And the main type of errors is the mix errors.The mix errors are mainly about synonyms for confusion.As for the comprehensive aspects of the utilization frequency and the accuracy of using psychological stative verbs:we find some psychological stative verbs which have the high utilization frequency but low accuracy.These words are "hope","want3","respect","worry","miss","satisfy","grieve","relieve".These words belong to that the students tend to use but the accuracy is not high.The words should be as key points and difficult points in the teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
