Eighty Lithic Arrowheads were excavated from the Tenghualuo Site in Lianyungang City Jiangsu Province.As a Longshan culture era,it is a late Neolithic culture,on which the earliest city located.On the basis of archaeogeological and mineralogical,petrological interpretations.Probable source materials and production technologies,usage,reproduction technologies of the 80 specimens from Tenghualuo Site were studied with typology and microwear analysis methods,seeking to shed light on the the Neolithic Age lithic arrowheads from the Tenghualuo sites.80 pieces of specimens were taken for visual assessment.The results revealed that all is slate.The reflectance spectroscopy can show the stone arrowheads' reflectivity and the change of slope in curve.This auxiliary method can distinguish their classification and quantitative statistical analyze.Their types are diversified that they have a professional selection of the source materials system.They are Shale,Siliceous Shale,Chlorite slate,Silty slate,Powder sandy slate and Siliceous slate.Their types are diversified that they have a professional production system in manufacturing process.Firstly chipping and then grinding,and they renovate them into new arrowheads limilar to the precursor after damaged by usage.Thus,analytical and data obtained herein can provide some guidelines on designating prehistoric Tenghualuo Lithic Arrowheads to the archaeologist and scholars working on this subject matter.The typology and mineralogical,petrological,and microwear analysis data obtained within this study outline the Neolithic artifacts technology that...
