Study On The Creation Of The Documentary In The Regional Culture Perspective

As an important form of film and TV arts,documentaries are able to render real social environment and human's living state on the screen,manifesting the unique epochal significance and cultural values.Since the debut of the first Chinese TV documentary in 1958,Chinese documentaries have undergone many reforms and innovations over their development course of more than 60 years.Before the 1990s,Chinese documentaries about people were deeply influenced by the Chinese politics,conventional ideas and visual Lenin political comments of former Soviet Union,which propagated the magnificent mountains and rivers of our motherland in ways of commentary and image.Since the 1990s,with the rapid social and economic development in China,people there have also changed their ideologies,who have increasingly recognized the importance of carrying forward the regional culture and diversifying techniques for documentary creation.Regional culture provides rich and varied materials for documentary creation,the latter of which can visually demonstrate the regional culture as an effective carrier for expressing characteristics of the regional culture.They can achieve enlightenment values and good effects for promoting and protecting regional culture.Documentaries that can represent life and communicate human emotions are more of a constant spiritual sustenance for us.An excellent documentary must have the following elements:how to make viewers surpass the small space of life to find and understand more excellent people in the world as well we recognizing and accepting their inspirations for us.Therefore,it has practical meaning to explore how to record and display regional cultural characteristics in documentaries and to arouse people's protection awareness of regional culture.Under the guidance of film and TV theories and analysis of related documentary works,this paper focuses on investigating the value of regional culture in documentaries and the influence of regional culture on topics,characters,materials and camera movement of documentary creation.In addition,combined with the personally created documentary"Inheritors of the Carving Knife",it illustrates the technique of expression and regional expression in individual works.This work is filmed and produced after several days of preparation in Gannan Zhuoni,which truly records and retrieves the exquisite processing skills of Tao Yan in an interview with Mr.Lu Suozhong,a Tao Yan craftsman.It intends to represent the extensive and profound significance of Tao Yan cultural resource as a regional intangible cultural heritage and make viewers respect,carry forward and protect traditional regional culture through presenting the steps of handling Tao Yan.
