There are lots of factors that impact learners' achievements difference in the field of second language acquisition,such as intelligence,personality,acquisition ability,learning styles,learning strategies and so on.In the term of learning strategies,dom estic and aboard linguists and educators have done much research on the meta-cognitive strategies,cognitive strategies and ef fective strategies,but the study of resource m anagement strategies is relatively few.Therefore,this study takes the resource m anagement strategy as the breakthrough to improve learners' ability to use this strategy and im prove their academic performance.This thesis is based on the theories of resource m anagement strategy,the management and the management process.In the study,questionnaire of Mecheachie.W.J and Carol is employed to carry on the study.The main purposes of this study are to test whether there is a variation through using the resource management strategy and whether the strategy can im prove students' achievements.Two classes of Yanan Middle School are chosen as the experim ental subjects.One is experimental class,and the other one is controlled class.During the experiment,the resource management strategy is em ployed in the experimental class,while not used in the controlled cl ass.SPSS 19.0 processing software is adopted to analyze the data.(1)After the experim ent,students deepen the understanding of resource management strategy.First of all,in the aspect of time management,students can make the reasonable planning about their extracurricular time.Secondly,in the aspect of effort management,students can make a correct analysis and evaluation on their achievements.Thirdly,they are able to keep quiet and or derly learning atm osphere in the aspect of learning environment and ask others for help selectively and purposefully in the aspect of academic help.(2)After the experim ent,the results show that the scor es of the stude nts in th e experimental class have been greatly im proved,which shows that the resource management strategy can effectively improve students' English achievement.Therefore,teachers should pay more attention to students' knowledge of resource management in daily teaching,so as to cultivate students' ability of self-management and improve their English achievement.
