A Study Of The Co-occurrent Interrogative Pronoun Construction "V+XX+P"

Co-occurrent interrogative pronoun construction "V+XX+P" is a common oral expression in modern Chinese,the structure highlights the universal meaning mainly through co-occurrent of the same interrogative pronoun,showing the speaker's subjective attitude.Under the guide of Construction Grammar of Cognitive linguistics,this thesis tries to make a more comprehensive description and explanation of "V+XX+P".The thesis is divided into five parts.The first chapter is introduction.It summarizes the research status of the interrogative pronouns used as non-interrogatively,the co-occurrent of interrogative pronouns,and the construction of "V+XX+P".Then we introduce the research methods and corpus sources.The second chapter is the overview of the �V+XX+P�.We analyze the rationality of "V+XX+P" as a construction,the interrogative pronouns that can access the structure of �V+XX+P�.We also sum up the meaning of "V+XX+P".The third chapter is the choice of "V+XX+P" to uncertain item "V" and "P".We divide the construction "V+XX+P" into three categories according to the meaning types of interrogative pronouns,then discuss the syllabic features and meaning types of "V"."P" is the predicate part of the structure,embracing verb and adjective than can indicates predicative meaning,and showing the status and result of behavior or event.The fourth chapter is the syntactic and pragmatic functions of the "V+XX+P".Its main syntactic function is to act as a clause in a complex sentence.In terms of pragmatic,"V+XX+P" has a commentary function.Speakers often use this construction to express strong or exaggerated emotions or attitudes.but for the most part,"V+XX+P" means the negative emotions of speakers.The construction can also express the time state of actions or events,which indicates that actions or events have already occurred.The fifth chapter is why the interrogative function of construction "V+XX+P" disappears,and we hold the point that the whole construction suppresses three aspects coercion on interrogative pronouns from the semantic,syntactic and pragmatic,then interrogative meaning disappears.
