Some international students come to learn the advanced science and advanced technology in China.Their Chinese language learning not only covers daily communicative language,but also contains professional scientific and technological terms.Content based teaching instruction is more practicable to be applied to.this kind of specialized Chinese teaching.Content based instruction of English teaching at home and abroad has been a success,but in Chinese as a second language teaching application was still in the stage of exploration,especially less targeted research about technology Chinese teaching.The traditional teaching mode and content based teaching mode are adopted in two Chinese preparatory classes of International students in Henan University of Technology.Through the comparison and investigation of the two,it is apparent to find the advantages and disadvantages of the content based teaching instruction used in scientific and technological Chinese.This paper focuses on the basic features of content based teaching instruction and discusses the application of content based instruction.In theory,the applicability of technology Chinese and CBI instruction is analyzed.At the same time,the teaching experiment method is used to compare the CBI teaching class and the traditional teaching class.The differences between traditional Chinese classroom and CBI teaching classroom are analyzed from the micro perspective.Using classroom observation method,individual interview method,questionnaire investigation method to carry out the teaching effectiveness analysis of the CBI teaching instruction.Content based instruction can motivate students' learning enthusiasm,be better able to achieve good teaching effectiveness,especially in the students' ability of reading,analyzing,and their comprehensive Chinese proficiency is remarkable.But the teaching effects of CBI instruction applied to Chinese pinyin,characters and other aspects need to be improved.Content based instruction requires the Chinese teachers having certain subject professional background knowledge,reasonable design of curriculum and extracurricular teaching,selecting subject content that is not too difficult as CBI curriculum materials.
