Statistics And Analysis Of The New HSK Level 4 Listening Comprehension

In November 2009,Hanban launched the "New Chinese Proficiency Test"(hereinafter referred to as "New HSK").At present,there are few specialized researches on the new HSK four level listening test.Researchers often combine the study of the new HSK four level listening test with the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language or teaching materials,they start from the types?vocabulary and topics of the New HSK four level listening test,they contrast or analyze it with textbooks or teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the researchers summed up the relevant experience and put forward practical suggestions for improvement,the shortcoming is that most of the studies have fewer samples.Therefore,fifteen New HSK level 4 listening tests were selected in this study.The listening section includes11 parts of speech,1211 words,and 186 commonly used collocations and proper nouns.Words with higher frequency are nouns ? verbs ? adjectives and adverbs.According to the frequency of each word class,it is finally compiled into the corresponding word frequency table.The topic of listening text can be divided into four categories: work and study?life?nature?culture.The characteristics of the text are variety of corpus and close to life.The listening text includes 150 judgements and525 questions.The questions can be divided into three categories: text express ?reasoning analysis and main idea.Based on the statistics and analysis of the vocabulary and texts of the test questions,it is suggested that the teachers of TCFL should combine teaching materials with specific exercises in order to improve teaching efficiency.Examinees can use the “classroom-based,self-study-assisted”learning method to understand test-taking skills such as listening to notes?predicting and catching key words in order to improve examination success rates.
