The present study adopted mixed-method to investigate the impacts of teacher's comprehensive corrective feedback(CCF)on students' written accuracy which covered five non-English major freshmen in Dalian Maritime University. In this 10-week study, they finished three tests(pretest, immediate posttest and delayed posttest)and received four weeks of CCF trainings after pretest.During this procedure, written samples and learners'interviews were analyzed, aiming to explore the impacts of CCF on EFL leaners' written accuracy. The results demonstrated that the teacher's CCF had a positive impact on reducing students' grammatical errors and nongrammatical errors. On the whole, compared with the diagnostic writing, the overall written accuracy of students increased continuously. Both grammatical errors and nongrammatical errors were reduced on immediate posttest after teacher's feedback trainings, and nongrammatical errors were persistently lowered on delayed posttest. In terms of individual participants, the changes of the grammatical errors and nongrammatical errors for the five participants were different over three tests.Individual differences, especially students' confidence, attitude towards CCF,and their engagement greatly influenced the short-term and long-term effects of teacher's CCF.Through the interview,it has been found that all five participants supported CCF and were more inclined to indirect feedback.Teacher's CCF,as an effective teaching method, was helpful to EFL learners, written accuracyIn English teaching, teachers can use different feedback methods according to different types of errors. In addition,in order to improve the effectiveness of feedback, teachers should fully consider individual difference to help learners be actively engaged in the feedback process.
