From Diaspora To Return

Wu jinzhaxi’s life was divided into four sections in 1945,1986 and 2006.From 1906 to 1945,he was a serf lived in Chayu,Tibet.From 1945 to 1986,he was a free mountain-people of northern Myanmar.From 1986 to 2006,he was the ‘Myanmar people’ returned to China.From 2006 to 2016,he was a citizen of the People’s Republic of China.His life was a life of diaspora and return.If focus on the life of Wu jinzhaxi,comb through the history of his life,analyze the operation logic from diaspora to return,we will find the fact that the Wu jinzhaxi’s diaspora and return in the ‘Zomia’ region is partly coupled to James C.Scott’s ‘Not being governed’,but there are also conflicts.It is true that Wu jinzhaxi’s diaspora does escape from the rule,but if read the fieldwork data,we will find it is worth discussing the ‘active escape’ of mountain-people in ‘Zomia’.The return of Wu jinzhaxi is a shock to the James C.Scott’s theory of ‘Not being governed’.The reason for this is that he did not analyze the differences between ‘state’ in ‘Not being governed’.The mountain-people are not born against the ‘state’.Good governance,and people will return.
