Writing is an important part of the English learning,and it is also an important indicator of the ability of senior high school students' comprehensive language.However,as an important factor to affect the quality of composition,writing planning influences the quality of L2 writing from different aspects such as vocabulary,grammar and language expressions.Therefore,to improve the level of English writing,planning is a basic writing skill that students need to have,and it is also an important way and method to improve students' level of English writing.This study discusses the influence of pre-task planning and online planning on the fluency,accuracy,and complexity of high school's English writing,and which kind of writing planning pattern has a greater impact on the quality of English writing.Thirty high school students who are at the same level of English proficiency participate in the experiment.They complete the tasks of English writing under the pre-task planning for three times and three times of English writing tasks which are at an equivalent level of difficulty under the online planning.The author collects and analyzes the learners' different English writings which are under the different planning patterns,and calculates the fluency,accuracy and complexity of each English essay.Then the author uses the correcting network to modify the English essays in two different kinds of planning patterns and then combines the scores with the scores which are checked by the English teacher and makes comparison.Finally,the author investigates the learners' tendencies of using different planning patterns when they are completing the English writing tasks and the specific reasons throughthe method of interviewing.The results of the study show that different writing planning patterns influence the quality of English writing from different perspectives.It shows that the pre-task planning pattern can improve the fluency and complexity of senior high school's English writing,while the online planning pattern influences the accuracy of senior high school's English writing actively.And by comparing the scores of English essays under the pre-task planning patterns and under the online planning patterns,we can conclude that pre-task planning pattern has a greater impact on the quality of high school's English writing.However,during the usual English writings,because students lack the input of necessary writing skills and are influenced by their own writing habits,which caused the learners tend to use the online planning pattern to complete their English writing tasks.The above results show that pre-task planning pattern and online planning pattern all have different effects on the performance of English writing in senior high school,which has certain teaching implications for high school's English writing test and teaching.Teachers should actively cultivate students' writing planning skills,and let the learners combine the two writing planning patterns to write the English essays,so they can write the higher-quality English compositions.
