After women's birth, various physiological and psychological changes occur.Changes in the brain circuit affect the transition from a woman to a mother. It also affects the mother's behavior and the way children are raised. The face is a special kind of stimuli that gives priority to our attention and provides valuable information for social interaction and survival success. This study investigated the effects of infant and elderly face on the response mechanisms of women. The study consisted of two parts.Study 1 was a behavioral study,an experimental paradigm for measuring the maintenance of visual attention, and an experiment using 3(baby face,middle-aged youth face,old-aged face)x2(mother,non-mother).To examine the preference of women for all types of people.Study 2 is an event-related potential(ERP)study. The classic dual-choice oddball paradigm is improved.Experiments using 2(baby face, old man's face)x2(mother,non-mother)x2(left hemisphere, right hemisphere)were performed.Young and middle-aged picture as a standard stimulus, the infant and the old man's face were used as a bias stimulus to examine the response of each subject to the neural mechanism under the stimulus image. All subjects were between the ages of25-35 years old, mother with children at 0-3 years old and were the first child. The baby face picture is from the Chinese Infant Affective Face Picture System(CIAFPS).The young and middle-aged face picture is from the Chinese Affective Face Picture System(CAFPS).The old face picture is from a community over 60 years old in Chongqing. The results of the study are as follows:(1)The motherhood influences the distribution of the participants' attention. The mother maintains the stimulation of all the pictures longer than the non-mothers.(2)The type of picture influences the distribution of attention, and the time spent on the face of the baby is longer than that of the young man's face.(3)The motherhood affects the left and right hemisphere symmetry of the brain. When the mother is not looking at the picture, the left and right hemispheres are asymmetric, and the mother's right and left hemispheres are symmetrical.(4)The mother's right hemisphere has a greater neural response to pictures of the elderly.(5)In the early stage of face processing, there is an enhanced neural response to the elderly face.
