The epitaph buried in the ground is called "underground archives" because of its integrity and durability.Its value has always been valued and studied by archaeologists,historians and academics.Through the discussion of the epitaph's shape,style,chronicles and the information behind it,we can enrich the related theories and methods of epitaph research.The systematic study of the calligraphy and literature of the epitaph of the Tang Dynasty can be used to clarify the position of the epitaph calligraphy in the history of the Tang Dynasty and even the whole history of calligraphy,as well as the value of the epitaph in writing and artistic features.This article is divided into four parts.The first part is a brief introduction to the epitaph of the Tang Dynasty.First,the development of the epitaph in the Tang Dynasty is briefly reviewed.Then,the excavation and collection of the epitaph data in the Tang Dynasty are introduced.The second part is the Tang Dynasty Epitaphs of Tang epitaph calligraphy,mainly from the two aspects of style and artistic style of choice.The Tang Dynasty Epitaphs for the regular script,between the script and running script.The epitaph is composed of literati,famous artists,ordinary craftsmen and even anonymous.Various types of essays on the epitaph calligraphy choice reflects their own style.The third part is the literary study of the epitaph of the Tang Dynasty.Epitaphs are not only the objective description of the deceased,such as name,place of origin,life and so on,but also a grief for the dead.As an applied literary style,epitaph has its fixed writing requirements,which leads to the stylization of the epitaph,but there are no lack of some detailed,sincere and literary epitaph.To a certain extent,epitaph is a practical essay integrating narrative and lyric.The fourth part is simply discussing the cultural implication of the epitaph in the Tang Dynasty.The relationship between the epitaph and the Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism reflects the general situation of the social and religious beliefs of the Tang Dynasty,as well as the existence of the lower women in the royal court from a large number of the palace epitaph.Epitaph is a manifestation of the fashion of the times.It can be seen that aseries of social situations such as people's etiquette system and social customs at that time.
