The national wilderness preservation system is a systematic wilderness protection system established after the enactment of the Wilderness Act,as early as 1951,Zanize proposed to establish a nationwide national Wilderness protection system,at the second Wilderness Conference of the Sierra Club.After the enactment and implementation of the Wilderness Act of 1964,collisions between the various stakeholders related to the wilderness and wilderness conservation organizations and environmentalists in the environmental protection movement continued to occur.During the pain,a series of wilderness protection act was enacted,more and more wilderness is protected by law.Of these,the 9.14 million acres of wilderness planned after the Wilderness Act was promulgated became the “first batch” of wilderness areas,and a national wilderness preservation system began to be established.The Alaska National Interest Land Protection Act of 1980 was planned 61.8 million acres wilderness,it become a milestone in the protection of wilderness,supporting the main framework of the national wilderness preservation system.From 1964 to 1994,a large number of wilderness areas were statutorily protected under the relevant provisions of the Wilderness Act,the concept of a national wilderness protection system has been embodied,refined,and expanded with the increase in the number of wilderness preservation.This dissertation is divided into three section: introduction,text and epilogue.The section of introduction: The concept of the wilderness is clearly express,and defined the concept of the national wilderness preservation system,the academic achievements of the research community at home and abroad are summarized and the research scope of this paper is summarized.The first part of main text mainly discuss the formation of national wilderness preservation system.The adoption of the Wilderness Act in 1964 marked the establishment of the national wilderness preservation system,according to the specific content of the Wilderness Act,the establishment of the national wilderness preservation system was introduced.The second part of main text describe the improvement of the national wilderness preservation system.After the Wilderness Act was promulgated,it led to the formulationand implementation of a series of wilderness protection laws,it intended to describe the improvement of the national wilderness preservation system through the description of wilderness related laws.The third part of main text summarize the achievements of the national wilderness preservation system,in the period from 1964 to 1994.Under the background of the times consider the problems displayed by the national wilderness preservation system.The epilogue concludes the whole paper,to sum up the implications of the national wilderness preservation system for Americans and for our lives.
