Geographical Linguistic Studies Of Ningdu Hakka Dialect

This paper used the research method of Geographical Linguistics and other theoretics to investigate the regional differences in Ningdu Hakka Dialect from the perspective of phonetics and vocabularies.According to historical documents,we first investigated the representative points of Ningdu Dialect in Luokou Town,Huangshi Town and Meijiang Town to reexamine its phonetic features.In order to understand the regional differences and the fundamental reasons for the formation of Ningdu Dialect more,we have made a breakthrough,used new research method to carry out an unprecedented scale field survey on 24 villages and towns in Ningdu,and then drawn 27 maps of dialect geographical distribution according to the first-hand materials,therefore,it lays a solid foundation for accurately analyzing the regional differences of dialects,reestablishing the basic basis of dialect segmentation,and effectively exploring the root causes of dialectal differences.According to our investigation,the watershed of the differences in Ningdu Dialect is essentially based on the regional differences between the North and the Middle and South,this divides these villages and towns into two major dialects in North of Xiaotian,Dongshao,Luokou,Dongshanba,Diaofeng,Huangpi,Caijiang,Dagu,Xiaobu and in Middle,South of Anfu,Shishang,Zhantian,Meijiang,Huitong,Zhuze,Qingtang,Laicun,Tiantou,Huangshi,Duifang,Changsheng,Gucun,Guhou,Tianbu,the consistency of the phonetic of Ningdu Dialect in each area is strong;as far as its ancient nature is concerned,the Northern Dialect has much more ancient tone than the Middle and Southern parts,this is not only related to the evolution of language itself,but also closely related to geomorphology,administrative division and economic culture and education.This paper is a new attempt to analyze Ningdu Hakka Dialect by means of Geographical Linguistics,it is very effective in exploring the regularity and internal differences of dialect,this method also plays an important role in the study of this paper.
