The Exploration Of Blank-Leaving-A Technique Of Dance Creation

It stems from the significant technique of Chinese painting that the blank-leaving is the very blank left by the creator consciously.Blank-leaving is in line with the characteristic of dance which is expressing emotions rather than narrative so that applying it in the dance creation can add its artistic conception and promote its connotation.This paper is about the following 5 aspects: the origin and notion of blank-leaving,the relationship between blank-leaving and dance,analysis of the plot and figure image as well as motion vocabulary in dance creation,music,spatial scheduling.Connecting with the author's inspiration and thought in dance creation,It also explores the meanings and values of blank-leaving in the development of dance creation.
